![]() ![]() ![]() | Goliath growth or contamination?
These jars were nocced on Saturday and kept at a steady 77 F in a dark room. I'm leaning towards these being contaminated rather than actual growth because I've never seen Pans grow that quickly...unless I just haven't had the right strain. This strain came from a reliable sponsor here and the jars were PC'd at 14psi for 90 minutes, allowed to cool overnight, and then injected 18 hours later. These are 3 separate jars. |

Don't get me started on the fruiting....I got one...ONE flippin' Viet mushroom on my last attempt out of 6 jars. Not a total success, but not a total failure either. It's all about learning right? ![]() ![]() I was reading up on cobweb mold, but didn't see any instances of that occurring on cakes that were not birthed yet. Maybe I'm wrong. I was planning on giving them a few more days to finish the jar at least. I appreciate the quick response buteo! |

They look ok to me. Just allow them to finish up and then you'll be able to tell the deal. 77 is the perfect colonization temperature for cubensis and panaelous. So, they'll roll along rather quickly.

For reference you could also see this vault thread that Foster suggested I read, when I asked the same question some time ago http://forums.mycotopia.net/exotic-m...dness-all.html (Pan Cyan Mycelium. The wierdness of it all!)
