A Final Birthday Approaches...

Well, all... I'm wrapping up what looks to be the final flush of 12 Lipa Yai cakes in the next few days and will be birthing a final 8 cakes of Yangoon Burma tomorrow, having succumbed to household pressures and responsibilities.

I never had the chance to delve into monotubs and stuck with cakes, but I wanted to thank everyone here for their support over the last year.

Finding this site and choosing to place my questions and share my experiences here has been invaluable to me and has no doubt driven my mycological successes, allowing me to experience things that would never have been possible without great sponsors providing outstanding spores for study, and a wealth of knowledge available from loyal board members.

Lastly, thanks to Hippie3 for starting this all! Thanks for being somewhat tolerant on the occasions I stepped off the path with a few posts .

I'll continue to stop in and help other noobs when I'm able....

Birthed as scheduled today! Man, am I going to miss that sweet smell!

DEC'd and awakening to the light...

Birthed the LY at 21 days, which may have been early as the yield off (12) 1/2 pint brf cakes was around a (z).

The YB has proven a bit more hardy, but I still waited a few extra days (24). Actually, I only did them to create a YB LC (yeah... I know what you're thinking... "If you're getting out, whaddaya need that for?"). Let's just say I have a lot of divorced FAOFs looking for a mentor.

The brf jars were only in as long and at the psi as "Hip's" simple LC method calls for, so the brf does not to need the 45 minutes at 15 psi (I know some say you don't need to PC brf at all).
