No light, better results

Just wondering if light is pretty necessary for grow it.
This is a mini-bulk leaved on my closet, no light... almost never!
I found that it gaves me better results than the other mini-bulk, made at the same time, the same components...

The big one

What do you think about it? Any experience?

I don't know for certain, but I have heard that the fruits do derive energy from light. I have a question about your results. Was the minibulk that you fruited in the light the same genetics as the one you fruited in the dark? If not, that could explain your different results. I'm pretty certain that light is almost always a beneficial thing to have.

Light triggers fruiting/pinning. Once a pin is formed it doesn't need light to grow and mature. Ive have nice sized fruits that were pale in color that were in the dark during fruiting. They use the light to know which direction to shoot the pins/mushrooms. (to know which direction is up)

I think is the same genetic, because I did it crumbling the same cake as spawn

For this second observation I´ll change the schem: put the darklover jar on light and put the light-jar on the total darkness. Let´s see if the thing changes too

Hey CoyoteMesc, with "nice sized" you mean big or small? (didn´t understand)
And about light to give direction (phototropism) I think it can be real, because those shrooms are too "bent" ^^

Nice sized mushroom for me is 25-30 grams wet with multi spore, a flush of em.

And yes, light is to give direction where to fruit with in the matrix of the mycelium.
Those shrooms are bent because they have no choice with the lid on. Could be some mild vert on one or two as well.

Shrooms will grow toward the light. That doesnt mean that they need it to mature.
