prepoured agar

a foaf has 10 syringes that just came out of storage from a few years ago. he would like to try them out on agar first to see if they are still good. he is looking to buy around 100 pre-poured plates(for other projects as well. does anyone know where he can purchase these online for as cheap as possible? he looked at a few sponsers and not sure if any of them even carry those. on ebay he was looking at around $1 a plate which will get very expensive. he lives close to a university, perhaps i could tell him to buy them there somehow? does anyone know what his options are?thanks in advance.

Pre poured slabs get pricey. May need to purchase petri dishes and some sort of agar separately to be cost effective...

damn, was hoping someone knew of a good source for my friend. he was really not interested in pouring agar. but i guess if i cant find them for him for any less than a dollar a pop, that is what he must do.
