 | B+ on BRF cakes
Half of my cakes were ready to pop. So, here they are placed in my grow tower. I have DE cased them with verm and a little H2O/H2O2 spray. The other half should be ready in about a week. Let's see if the B+ gods smile upon me.

You guys are absolutely correct. I am noc'ing up some corn tonight to spawn some straw/worm poo. This will also be B+ strain, as this is the only strain I have at the moment. So here soon there will be another 11 cakes and 5 or so trays.

Yep, I got the plastic shelves, the plastic sheeting, and the tarp zippers all at the hardware store for less than 50 bucks. Great deal. Much more roomy than the last indoor greenhouse I had bought.

Had never thought of using clusters as a good clone source. What are the advantages? The obvious one to me would be that the sub-strain would be more prone to big clusters. Is this correct?

Yes, they are pints. I would say about 16-20 days for 100%. Its a multispore. I am planning on taking many prints of this batch. If anyone has some HAW they would want to trade, please PM me.

Here are some more photos. I just love taking pics of these guys. I can't wait to get my new DSLR camera so I can take some 15 Megapixel images for you guys! (Once I decide which one I want to buy.) Every time I wake up or come home from work they are completely different. I also noticed that the cakes in the back row are starting to join in on the fun, so I took a shot of each cake in the tower now. This one is my fav...

It's an ultrasonic, not a cool mist. I have the elephant.  They're great because, 1 and a 1/4" fits right into the exhaust hole. Perfectly! If piped into the bottom of the fruiting chamber, you can set a small fan under the pipe (blowing upwards) and it disperses the fog and air perfectly in the chamber. It also allows you to be able to turn the fog setting down very low, using less water and preventing moisture build up in the chamber. The small fan blowing up dispersing the fog and moving air is boss. 95% humidity with ease and not a bit of water build up.

(next to the original spores of course,  ) Well, I'm sure opening the tower up 10000000 times a day to stare at my babies does a lot for air exchange (kidding). I don't ever really do any misting. I usually rehydrate the verm casing with a syringe (missing the needle). I also use a 10/90 mixture of H2O2/H2O to help keep away the bad fuzz. I don't personally like misting because I'm not good at missing the pins and I tend to get a lot of aborts if I mist a lot, so I just started using a syringe to rehydrate my casing layers. As for the Humidity/Temp chart recorder. Man, its expensive. I work in calibration, and happened across one for free. I wouldn't recommend investing in one considering you could get the same job done with much less money. I think brand new they go for 1-2K. Again, thanks for the kind words. I still feel like a noob myself compared with the wisdom that can be found in these pages. I have been growing off and on for about 7 years now and still there is MUCH to learn (and experiment with). That's one of the beauties of this hobby. You really have to try to make it boring.

Oh thanks for all that Info, and I plan on getting one of the 30 dollar digital ones! The Analog ones are crap. Didn't know you had one THAT fancy. Cool. Well you do a fantastic job. I am excited to be checking in daily, too, just to see where your babies are at - you MUST be psyched.  Decided to go ahead and Dunk my cakes tonite. They just seem perfect except for a little dry. Wish me luck! and thanks again.

Alright, I have harvested off of 4 out of the 10 cakes and have about 300g wet. There are still 6 cakes left to harvest in the next few days but I think that I grabbed the ones that were growing the most so far. We'll see.

Just get this. It's $4 and works perfectly if you calibrate it. Calibration takes 20 minutes. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...-LG&lpage=none Just set it outside and allow it to set for 10 minutes. Check the humidity in your zip code here- http://www.wunderground.com then set the dial to it. Wait another 10 minutes and then check the updated RH% on the sight and then the dial. If needs adjustment, just set it and that should do it. I use the same one and it's perfect.

Alright so I just bought a DSLR Camera (Canon Rebel T1i) and here are some shots I took of the cakes before I completely harvested them. If I remember correctly, the weight of the second batch was about 275g, so that would put the first flush at around 575g wet. Not too shabby. BTW, these images were 15.1 Megapixel but I re-sized them to 30% so that I would be able to U/L them to the server. I am VERY new to photography so bare with me as I learn what I'm doing.

Here are some images of my post first dunk cakes. I dunked them for a total of about 56hrs, they came out VERY heavy and nice and solid. Hopefully this wasn't too much of a dunk. As heavy as they are, it feels like I might have one hell of a crop to pick here in a few days. Some of the pics show the classic bluish tinge that the cakes get after a good dunking.
