I'm not sure I understand you correctly, but is the casing ready colonized now? If so, then I guess next step is fruiting. Do you have an FC/tub/box to fruit it in? Or did you just case the colonized wbs now? If so then let it incubate until it's colonized, it may take some days, or a week, depending on your temperatures among other things. But be on the watch for any more green, because it could be that there is more than what first showed up. It's only the mold spores that are green, the mold mycelium is also white. Did you sterilize or pasteurize the casing mix? Peat moss is very prone to green mold if it isn't prepared well. (I learned that the hard way.) BTW, normally you wouldn't use perlite mixed in with the substrate/casing as I understand you did, but only in the bottom of your tub/other FC. However, it should do no harm. Good luck!!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | if your going to try cutting green away might be good to cutt two times the area that looks to be visually effected. as the mycelium of trichoderma is white and will not be visible until spore production starts. the spores are green, so you've just cut the spores off. that’s not to say there wont be more nicely camouflaged contaminant mycelium that be ready to reproduce. did you say that you used peat for your casing mix? did you balance your ph with lime? how are you fruiting? is it in a tub? what temps are you incubating at. these will be good questions for more accurate advise.

Sorry, thebluewell, but it's pretty hard to understand what you write because you use practically no punctuation. Also, if you could take some pictures it would help a lot. ONe tub with casing ? Colonized? Two tubs where you just mixed the spawn with verm and peat, and didn't put a casing layer on top? Colonized? If they are colonized your fruiting setup sounds ok, if temperatures are good, and it allows some fresh air exchange, or you fan manually. You should also keep humidity up but that depends on how deep your substrate is, if you have perlite in the bottom of the tub, etc. You don't want it too wet either.
