![]() | Pans - Soaking grains into water with h.poo
Hi all !! I was thinking about it ... could it will work to soaking the grains into poo water to hurry pans colonization ? I know about petris cultures and LC ... but I was thinking about inoculating multispore some jars with rye / wbs / rice brown soaked into poo water ... Colonization will be more faster with pans ? Could it will work ? Thanks in advance |

I have tried it some times... Can't remember if it was faster, but it worked ok. I say..try it out,and use different kind of poo strength for comparison.

Let's Go! ![]() Last saturday I've inocultad 8 jars with pans, all from multispore with syringe ... 1 jar with rye + 1 spoon h.poo soaked 24hs and then drained 3 jars with rye + 1,2,3 spoons h.poo each one soaked 24hs and then washed with water to remove traces of h.poo (because I've read that heat+poo is fermentation) and then drained 2 jars with rye/pf tek (50/50) 2 jars with pf tek I hope some results in briefly time, promess some pictures! |

sweet, will be glad to here how it turns out. as I want to try poo water as well. for my next jars (quart) I plan on useing rye berries with poo-water and a gram of gypsum. Not sure if it will speed it up but, I know they love the poo and it will be a good start for when I spawn it to poo/wheat straw. Good luck keep us updated .

An update ... after 5 days at 28ºC all jars show some mycelium ... Picture shows from left to right ... - 3 spoon of h.poo and then washed with water - 1 spoon of h.poo and then washed with water - rye grain - pftek brf (50/50) Jar with 1 spoon looks better at all with more nicely mycelium ... I think that it could be for give some add food and no change the pH like jar with 3 spoon, it´s just a suposition Thanks all and good luck too! |

My guess would be that if this was any benefit it would be that the substrain that takes hold would already be exposed to the poo and in turn could have more desirable traits when fruited in your trays with more poo. Meaning in short that when you spawn the mycel it doesnt go "wait whats this, oh its food." So it knows because its been feeding on the poo from day one. JUST BS and random thoughts

![]() Recentrly I´ve found some like trichoderma at jars with 1 and 2 spoon of h.poo and then washed with water Still running "jar with rye + 3 spoon of h.poo and then washed with water" and "jar with rye + 1 spoon h.poo soaked 24hs and then drained" Pic1 "jar with rye + 3 spoon of h.poo and then washed with water" Pic2 "jar with rye + 1 spoon h.poo soaked 24hs and then drained" Pic3 Older jars with rye grain ... how it looks, could it be some mold or bacteria inside? smell good but is hard to colonize ... temperature is about 27ºC Thanks all!
