![]() | Grow bag question.
Hi, I am new here. I am new to using grow bags. I have looked through the forum and have gotten alot of info, but still have a question. I have gotten to the point i have mushrooms growing in a few bags, mostly in the top of the bags. One of the bags is all white inside with a few mushrooms growing in the top, and a bunch growing on the bottom and sides of bag. They dont seem to have room to grow against the bag. Should i open it and cleanly/carefully flip the cake or will they grow up? Thanks in advance for help.

First of all, welcome to Mycotopia! Second, mushrooms will grow wherever light permeates, so this means they'll grow anywhere in your clear grow-bag. they might not push up to the top, but they're still fine. You may have to pull the substrate out of the bag to get to them. This is ok. Maybe you can pull the substrate out of the bag to harvest and put it back in? Even if it falls apart, you could dunk it and put it back in the bag for a second flush. Hope this helps. |

By letting them grow inside of the bag like that, you are basically doing an invitro bag grow. See how the word invitro is yellow? That's a glossary term. You can click on those to get more detailed info about something. And here's a link to the invitro section of our vaults for more reading: http://forums.mycotopia.net/growing-...-chronic-bags/ Good luck!
