A little project - my first attempt with hay

The hay isn´t fully colonized yet, but...when I harv the first flush I can case it, just to protect ^^

Sorry about those contams. Maz is a good strain, a little slow-moving from what I understand. I grew it once and remember nothing about it, but I was growing a few other strains at the time, lol.

That hay looks healthy, dude! I have not heard too many good things about hay, mostly that it contaminates easily. What was the spawn for the hay?

Always cool to see a resurection!
I will also be watching this hay grow.
I recently grew two "bagged" tubs with straw as the substrate.
One contaminated, the other outperformed the hpoo/verm sub next to it.
One never knows!

Hey Shanti, it seems good - at least for the first flush hehe
Lots of clusters, see on the sides of the microtub...isn´t to many pins on the center, but there are lots of hymphal nodes becoming pins

Hey MLB, the spawn was WBS - but just some kinds of seeds (alpiste, colza and nínger, at least these are the names in my country).
Agama, good luck bro! I heard lots of bad thing about hay (more than strawn) but its all I have ATM =T

Shroomette - Hey SIS, as you´re not a dude...

I sterilized it for 90 minutes, pressure cooker =]
The subs was almost only Hpoo and Hay, but there was some Coir and Vermiculite

All done by eye...

I will just tell you from my experience that if it was coir only it was great but when you use straw you may have bigger fruit (not sure) but if the straw is not covered you may have contamination so you may like to take the bulgy straw out or case it or be very careful ...
till now it's look great ....
