So I was just like in my tub and I noticed a couple of green bluish spots on two of my cakes? Throw them Out now or what this is the first day I noticed this but the are fully colonized so.... I have no clue and as for the none fruiting my cakes seem a little bit dry should I have dunked them or sjouke I have done this right from the start and if it is mold! God forbid what do I do the other cakes look fine

Take a moistened paper towel or q-tip and gently rub the suspected areas. If no color bleeds off the cakes, it is simply stress-related bruising. If it does bleed, those are mold spores, and you will need a bunch of bleach and a trash bag.

I bet it is bruising, though. Good vibes!

I tend to dunk cakes just when they start showing tiny pins, provided the cakes are fully colonized. The process of colonization generally drinks up most of the cake's water reserves. You can dunk before you see pins as well; that is simply the way I do it. I dunk for 12-20 hours in the fridge.

Did the a- tip thing and it's bruising. I just seen my first pins happy days so should I just dunk all of em or let an ride of till end of first cycle? What about injecting the cakes with water I understand not such a even soak but I donno I don't want the new pics to brake off! But gotta do what u gotta do!
