fresh air exchange

Du u guys think that running a air pump (fish tank pump) into my tub with four airstones would help with fresh air exchage? Maybe a couple more holes in the tub? Then would u still have to fan and shit? Just wanted to Check anyways thanxx for a response

IMO If the holes on the tub are close to the bottom then the positive pressure your adding should be enough to push the co2 out. you'll probably have to run that little pump alot.

That sounds as though you might get too much air with the fan and the air pump and fanning. When I grew in FCs, I just fanned three times a day, and it worked fine. Are you trying to automate it?

I've been wondering about this myself.

Here's a thread I saw recently that looks like an answer...

I've been running my lil air pump 24/7 for FAE with no extra fanning and its worked just fine for me so far. I have 1" holes drilled around the perimeter of the tub. I actually have my air pump running into a 5g bucket and then a 1" tube going from the bucket to the FC. My reasoning for that is sometimes I dont need to add extra humidity so I leave the bucket empty. Sometimes I need added humidity, so all I do then is add water to my bucket and vwalla. Or another thing I can do if I need extra humidity is cover a few more holes up. Clear packaging tape works wonders for me....

here on the first post you can see what I did :

http://forums.mycotopia.net/fungi-gr...-mistakes.html (Zozo Project ideas success & mistakes)

some tips from my experience ..
1. don't run it under the perlite because it spread it all over
2. put a timer to run it 4-5 times a day ...

peace

Swim has been running one for a few months, dont run it 24/7 stuff dries out.

Fanning and a good misting was alot less work and the end result was at least as good.
Probably better IMO.

I like that bucket idea. Bulkier than the Tropic Aire, but won't go dry, either.
