Liquid Nutes?

This may be a stupid question but is it possible to use something like a general hydroponics liquid nutrient in a small dose in a soak or a post flush dunk or something of that nature. Any one ever heard of such?

Hydro solution- totally different contents from what mushies consume.

People make poo-tea and other things like what you're suggesting though. So sorta I'm no mushie expert tho so on w/ the responses

I have done some experimentation with "feeding" my fungi. I have used ground sterilized grain, or brewers yeast, or simple sugars all diluted with water. Sometimes I would even add gypsum, other nutrients, or attempt to adjust the pH.

I would usually do soak and either let it bath in it and rinse after, or slowly mist it over the surface.

In all honesty I am not at all sure it helped at all.... but I liked to think it did.

If you have luck with be sure to let me know.

In every experiment I have tried--or I have read about--dunking with nutrient-rich water usually leads to contams.

Adding nutes to a cake or substrate mix generally works out better--as in H3's supercake formula--from my experience.
