![]() | Burma in minibulk... stalling cluster?? (pics)
Hi to all!! This is my first post at Topia and, first of all, thx for all the info!! I have a 70% Compost 30% verm minibulk, spawned from BRF. Strain is Burma. No casing. Last Friday the first pins to show where the ones in that cluster. On Saturday those three big ones showed up. As you see in the pictures only those three have grown quite big, but the cluster is stalling. Each day the stems get fuzzier. I fan them two times a day. I just don't know what happened: the first days they grew equally, but in the last two days the big ones grew and the cluster stalled! Now the newbie questions! 1) Is this normal? Could it be lack of humidity? 2) Should I leave em and wait for the first flush and then dunk? or... 3) Should I inject some sterile water near the cluster? Sorry for the crappy pictures and english! |

Welcome to Mycotopia. I would pick those three big ones. They are sucking all the moisture from the rest of the pins. That is a good rule of thumb for bulks and casings, and it usually makes for a more even pinset. You need to fan a bit more. When you see all the fuzzy mycelium growing up the shrooms, that is a sign of high CO2. Congrats on the pinning! |
