I actually stumbled accross **************************************** and had no idea any of these forums existed and in one of their threads was a link to Mycotopia so I looked around a little bit, meanwhile I was doing a lot of reading at **************************************** and getting to know people but after I looked at all the pictures I got bored so I started coming here more and noticed there is a lot of members here and I was scared to post on shroomery cuz the servers are in the US and someone could access their site like the FEDS and that would be bad for a lot of people> This sites server isn't in the US, right? Even if...I really could care less now but in the beginning that was what I was thinking. Now I like it here and would probably stay anyway. I like **************************************** equally. Shrooms help cluster headaches? I have them and so does my dad...his are a lot worse than mine. Demerol or heroin worked to get rid of them. My wife gets relpax for migrains and sometimes I get lucky and that will work. When they do work it happens in like the first 10 min.

I signed up after stumbling to this site from a listing during exam time, when I probably should've been studying but became fascinated with how mushrooms grow instead.. having browsed other boards that didn't have the same level of friendship, courtesy, and the love of the hobby I signed up here. Even when someone is absent for a few months due to personal reasons, someone is wondering where they are, hoping all is well.

It's neat watching the forums evolve over time, from the different style/layout to topiates becoming mods. I can only imagine how it must feel for Hip and all the other people that have been here since the start, to watch the forums go from being an idea inoculated into a website, growing until the cap opens and staying like that for years, immortal. Feels like we all live under one giant mushroom named mycotopia that keeps us wise and knowledgable.

So here I am... learning so much... and maybe too much cuz it feels like my head's gonna blow!

Oh... and i came to the realization that I've been going through this site more than I search for porn... That has to tell you something about the power of Mycotopia!

Accurate information, plus the ability to pose a question that would not be given a generalized answer.

I tried a number of other sites at first, but most were too general with their information, espically the shromery. For example, if I have a certian problem with a casing or grain promblem, I require information pertaining to my mishap.

This is without doubt the best site that provides direct intervention with the person asking the question, and the person needing an immeadiate answer.

Rock on Mycotopia. I will remain a memer of your board for as long as I can, espically since my passion for growing this forbidding fruit hasn't receeded, even though my time only allows me to make so many post at any given time. Thanks for the honesty.

I always look for the friendly forums because that means there is more adults and less ego. It seems like those huge sites that come up when you search grow mushrooms in Google are filled with jerk offs. The moderators always think they are god and trolls are more prevalent. There was a better reason when I first joined but that memory is blowing in the wind.

My internet search for information on chemical sterilization of substrate for mushroom production lead me to this vault of like-minds. Am a plant scientist with a strong interest in growing mushrooms and hope to learn from the great experiments being posted on this site. I also hope to contribute to information on mushroom production. Currently, I am supervising two honours students in microbiology that are testing the senisivity of 8 Pleurotus species/ and strains to hyhdrogen peroxide.

It was a accidental find for me as well. I have always liked to grow stuff. My living room is a jungle of tropical plants I have been growing for the last 10-12 years. It was actually one of my house plants that really got me motivated to try growing mushies. Out of nowhere I had Yellow houseplant mushrooms spring up at the bottom of my corn plant. And the availability for mushies is next to none in the little town I call home. So I figured what the hell....I like to eat things that make me feel good inside and I like to grow and learn about new things. So here I am..And I love the people here and the atmosphere. OH and the contests .

Found Mycotopia after I was researching a paper on the cons/pros of the drug prohibition in the United States. Mycotopia was a link from wikipedia and I quickly became hooked. I had never (and still haven't) tried any type of psychedelics, but have always been interested. I decided that growing my own little slice of heaven would bring a personal experience, rather than one bought off of a cousin's-friend's-sister's-boyfriend's-father's-old army buddy.

I try to keep informed about a wide variety of things, and enjoy learning odd skills. I tried other sites, but none made me feel as welcome as `topia did. So basically, sheer luck brought me in, the subject matter captivated me, and the friendliness community has kept me for life.

The real reason I visit, is this little guy....

I am hooked on the site also, and have learned a new hobbie which I am very excited about. A fringe benifit of that hobbie is being able to produce a product that you would otherwise be forced to buy. It'd be nice to be able to buy from people you liked but, in my experience, I always had to deal with folks who I would never have had anything to do with otherwise. I found 'topia by accident also........I was looking @PF Tek stuff and wound up here. The site offers a large wealth of information without seeming to specialize in any one area. The teks are very competently laid out and the vaults are easy to navigate and use.

After quitting all substance use years ago, I decided I wanted to enjoy mushrooms again. Their availability has always been limited (or not available at all) so I decided to cultivate for myself. This serves the twofold benefit of not having to reconnect with a usually unsavory drug culture and also exploring a new hobby.
That being said, I regret that I am unable to meet the wonderful people who seem to frequent this site as I find most of you to be high-caliber and well spoken.

I don't use any type drugs anymore (got thrown in jail too many times),
I do grow them and love learning about how not to kill them or new little tips to morph them into a better plant. I love trading and growing. I have a bunch of types of plants such as the Brugsmansia aka angel trumpet, Daturas, san pedros, morning glory, and much more. I hate morning glorys they are VERY evasive and seed EVERYWHERE. SO if anyone wants to venture into that zone let me know and I will start collecting seeds. I really want to purchase the Salvia or trade.
I want to learn about mushrooms I live in a very HUMID area so mushrooms would grow great here. We have MANY different types of mushrooms here but I don't know anything about them. I probably would pick one and instead of someone getting high they would have a great salad mushroom!!LOL!!! SO that is why I am here to learn!! Any advise or any trades I am open to learning or trading!!
