Everyone needs to decide when to make decisions on there own, and hopefully realize when it should be done. I' not not trying to bust on you. But I think you will love it here....just think of use as giving you construction criticism. There is a lot of really cool people here, even more answers....and a few different stealth teks you might want to check out. Good luck On the salvia thing I like it personally. The only problem was that the buzz doesn't last long enough and I tend to smoke it 3 or 4 times in a row and I would get a headache from it. Extremely intense though. Reminded me a little like crazy flakes.

I joined this forum because i want to get better at cultivating mushrooms for my health. When people are passionate about whatever, you all figure out some marvelous methods to do the task. I'm into growing oyster, shiitake, poplar, stropharia, turkey tail. Am also very keen on palms and bamboo, and grow lots of little starts in pots in a nursery of sorts. Just recently, based on spending extra hours reading in this forum and the various archive.... i'd been watching for the kind of small light brown-tan mushrooms that showed the character of removable pellicle on the cap, stained blue when injured on the fruit body, and had purple-brown spores, white stem. And with wavy caps. Lo and behold in one of my geranium pots, there appeared a succession of mushrooms fitting the description, as far as I can tell. Am happy to have been paying a little attention here. Now to just find a rat to try it out on... Never did try magic mushrooms but I figure reishi is pretty damn good, for all that ails me. But along that line, I did once grow and chew salvia leaves, cause i read that was how the indians did it. It's fairly bitter but i don't mind(never smoked it) -- At first i ate about 25 leaves and not much reaction. So i let it go for a time. Maybe six months later i chewed a couple leaves, and it was magic, especially giving me auditory echoey hallucinations. It's been over seven years since using it, but the last few times, all i needed was one fresh leaf. Wouldn't dare smoke it. |

i know it definitely started by a google search for psychoactive cacti info.... but i was already in the midst of cultivation... just wanted to hear some EXPERT advise on any questions my mind could produce in through the process... since then, i have learned a great deal about 3 "organic" hallucinogens, and how to properly cultivate one of them... i have a greater respect for fungi and it has morphed into a hobby of mine... i love it<3 THANKS HIPPIE and others~!!!

Well, I joined a couple years ago after leaving the military as a disabled vet. I had done shrooms and alot of acid as a teenager in the 90's and when I got back to civilian life, I wanted to get back in touch with my spiritual side. I spent a lot of time on here in 2006 and then unfortunately I slipped up and got on some bad shit that I hadnt' done since my teen years (cocaine) agian. Well, now that I have learned the lesson that I think that particular life event was meant to teach me (that my family and spiritual well being are way more important than that white death), I am back. I never really posted a lot before but it still feels like I'm back to a good place in my life and I feel comfortable here. I am looking to prepare myself a little spiritual journed within the next couple months and I know that this is the place for up to date blogs on such things. Peace and Love!

Hi guys and girls! This is my first post, as suggested on my screen. I come from Denmark, Europe, and am close to being a complete newbie. I joined joined this forum for the same reason as Tyler Durden and smippy, for its endless knowlegde - and seemingly nice personal. Right now i'm mostly a stupid bungler, but hopefully i will be able to give an advice or two in the future. See You |

Hello Mycotopia! ![]() I joined because after starting some liquid culture via Shroomery instructions, I found I wanted more information (pictures). From my google searches, Mycotopia seemed the most friendly as well as cutting-edge. I arrived to find WAY more info on LC than what shroomery had and found I'd actually made some mistakes. I also noticed that some myco forums have rules which result in annoying posts: "SWIM said that a FOAF's BFF's SO started some cultures..." I was happy to see Mycotopia let's us be adults here. ![]() In general, I only like to post when I have something to contribute, in which case I'll try to contribute ALL of my data for research purposes, trying to give back, if possible. |

mycophiles as poet-in-residence of the telluride mushroom festival for the past 28 years, i thought it was time this wild event had a presence on one of the web's premiere mushroom sites. I just wanted to say welcome to all the new people. I didn't realize that there were so many people with their first posts in this thread. Now that you've made your first posts, don't be shy. 6 months from now, your minds will still be blown with how much information is here, that's a prediction. I am constantly finding things I never knew were there, and I'm here almost 24/7 lol.

I just joined =). anyways, there are a few reasons why I joined. I just got into mushrooms and such not too long ago and I am obsessed so far lol. Another one is that this site seems to be very organized and a well being, fun place to be a part of and I didnt want to pass up that. Apart from that I'm loving Mycotopia so far!

I was actually trying to find out how to tell the difference between a female and a male pot plant in its early stages. I just googled it, looking for a picture for my buddy. I came across here, but for some reason I had to join to see the plant or something....memory is foggy. Anyways I browsed for a bit and started reading others trip experiences in "storming the gates" and I thought this seems like a cool site with people who are into the same shit as me. That was a good while ago, and I'm still here. Thanks hip

![]() | why i joined mycotopia
greetings, just wanted to introduce myself. i am interested in mushrooms from a variety of perspectives. i like to eat the non-psychoactive ones for dinner. i am growing some turkey tail and shittake from two kits i bought online and i am fascinated by their progress. i have been reading Paul Stamet's Mycellium Running and it has opened my eyes to a whole universe of living matter in our midst that I think can provide great benefits to many people. I am also, admittedly, interested in "magic" mushrooms and would like to learn more about cultivating them. I have taken them a few times, and have had very beautiful experiences with them. This website was recommended by a friend who said there was a great wealth of knowledge here. I can certainly see that is true. I'm happy to be here and excited to start learning. spawnjohnsilver |

![]() as for why I joined mycotopia, well shroomery seemed sketchy un-friendly! plus it seems there are a lot more experienced, well learned people on here that I can gather advice from. SPECIALY when i'll be needing tips on growing those succulent blue brusing beauties. who knows, maybe ill even do a couple of trades with you guys! but the true reason im here is to properly immerse myself in the community and possibly learn a thing or two a long the way.

i found this site on my first experience with growing, which failed miserably. i didnt post then, just creeped the forum. now that i am thinking of starting a new project, i've been interacting and trying to gather all the information from you wonderful people as i can. friendly environment, and doesnt have all the flashy stuff that some other sites have, which is really unneccessary. pure, unadulterated shrooming

Hi everyone at mycotopia.net, I came across this website by looking up different strains that I may like, since I have the urge to study the "spores" of P. cubensis so much. I felt that this website was better and easier to navigate than shroomery.com. By the way my name is kevin and I look foward to sharing what I learn with you all. |
