![]() | Hiya all I joined Mycotopia because my curious Aquarian nature is always wanting to learn and of all the sites I visited, this one looks to be Class! I live in the southeast and am back on the farm that's been in the family since the revolution. Also a small Civil War battle was fought here, so rich in history and deep in my heart. So my quest is growing EVERYTHING I can and wildcrafting herbs and ethnogens, goals being self sufficiency, back to nature and also growing spiritually. Today was the first attempt at collecting some of the wonderful fungus amoung us, so I'd greatly appreciate any help in identifying what I found. I've spent hours looking at forums and pics, but am such a newbie still it a bit scarey , even with milk thistle at hand. I'm posting the pictures tonight, spores prints are in the making , so tommorow I'll add those pictures along with some detailed descriptions. Have a great weekend! ![]() |

I joined Mycotopia because my fiance encouraged me to visit the forum and explore all the different things/topics that Mycotopia has to offer. I just don't know where to start at all on anything on the site. Any suggestions? |

Hello all, I joined Mycotopia because I wanted to learn more about growing and various strains of shrooms. I have had a couple of successful grows and am interested in the spiritual and medicinal aspects of the various mushrooms. |

I couldn't figure out how to post to this stupid thing. I dont mean stupid but Im very upset. All the Shrooms are gone but worst of all my husband is gone. Cops showed up tonight because my 12 year old and was having a tantrum and screaming his head off so the stupid neighbors called the cops and said we were beating him. Yeah right. Ofcourse the cops show up nobodys in trouble for beating my son because that was furthest from the truth. Now my husband who had a felony warrant out of another state is being shipped back. He has been doing so good and working so hard to be the husband and father we wanted. He ran so that distracted the cops long enough for me to get rid of all the shrooms, lc's and substrates. Everything fucked up because a neighbor who didn't know shit. Im stuck in this fucked little town thats comparable to the Ozarks were I know nobody and dont want to know anybody. Depressed depressed depressed. Thats my first post. Bluevamps66 |

hope you don't take offense when none is intended but it was bound to end badly, what with him being a fugitive felon. you're lucky not to be in jail yourself right now, and your child in state custody. so count your blessings too as you mourn the loss. your situation can be improved merely by changing your point of view, and a good place to start might be how you see your neighbors there, they can help you if you're willing to play the game right.

Thanks Hippie3 and lucysd. Im feeling better now. I still hate this place but there are some good people here. I am lucky that I didn't go to jail. Real lucky! The good thing about this is that I've wanted my husband to go back to California to take care of this. I myself have been to prison several years ago and have worked hard at getting out of the system it was stressful with the fact of him being a wanted fugitve hanging over my shoulders so yes it sucks but now I dont have to worry about that anymore. When he goes back this time he will be maxing out his number. It will be over. The hard part for me was the kids losing daddy. We have two awesome kids. The positive is that he is going back has to take care of this it will be over and we can move on. Thank you guys for your support. My last posting was within the first couple of hours after the incident so I couldn't see any positives at the time.

I'm a new user who is interested in psychedelics of all shapes and flavors. I'm also interested in growing mushrooms. Not much else to say here, except that I think consciousness is one of the great mysteries of the universe, and the mystery that is closest and most relevant to ourselves. Anything that alters consciousness is therefore profoundly important... too important for any government to forbid it. |

I everyone,i live in the south of France and i've been growing Cubensis and Panaeolus for almost 4 years. I decided to join Mycotopia cause i've heard of it on a French forum http://www.champimagik.net/ ,we are a little community and are used to work casing on grain. I've been one of the first to try growing Panaeolus and posting my results,i had great succes using mixed rye-straw-manure as a substrate. Using this tek we also noticed a great increase of crops with Cubensis. A member of champimagik forum told me about straw-teks shown on Mycotopia, and the incredible results obtained, this is why i decided to join your community. Several members of champimagik community are going to joins yours,we have a lot to learn from your forum,we use to sterilize our substrate and are interested in pasteurized teks. |

I am a new member here, so I figured this thread would be a good place to say hello. I joined mycoptopia mostly because this seemed to be the most intelligent and well organized out of all the shroom boards, and also, the people here are less elitist too. I have a feeling that I can ask questions here if I run across a problem and I can't find an answer in the archives - without someone telling me I'm an idiot or some shit.

Hi all, I joined because I've been looking for info to get my grow going in the right direction. A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to grow some shrooms for all my friends to have some fun with (it's been almost 30 years since I partaked), and if possible I could spread the wealth. So I ordered some spore syringes from University Scientific, read, read, and read some more on the PF TEK with BRF. I believe I did everythging right, but after two weeks all I have in the jars is cobweb I believe. After about a week I looked on line for reviews of University Scientific and I founhd mostly negative stuff. I messaged them and told them that I thought their spores were unviable, but no answer. So, I'm ready to try again with WBS and spore syringes from .... I'm straining the WBS as I type this, and will be pressure cooking 12 jars in a few minutes. I also set up 12 jars of rye flour and vermiculite in anticipation of the coming spore syringes. Hopefully .... will send me some freebies along with my order, otherwise I will be innoculating with less than the recommended amount. Oh well, wish me luck. Oh yeah, another reason I registered is that I couldn't see the pictures in the posts without doing this. Thanks to all who spend time giving others info. |

I'm a bit saddened to see that the chat is VIP only now though on account that I've had my spirit lifted on more than one occasion in addition to the good advice I've been a recipient of. I'll just have to donate $25 or contribute to the BNL the next time VIP is being given away for that. No problem here but it might impact others...I joined in order to attempt to contribute something back after learning everything that I have to date... The wealth of myco and ethnogen knowledge, not to mention the interesting tidbits in off topic discussions such as resist and rebel keep me lurking despite no projects lately. Ah and thanks again Hip and everyone else here for this community -- Shame we can't all band together on a few thousand acres after the fall... Or can we? | |

![]() | Hellow there !
hellow. my name is Elfys. i live in norway, and this autumn i harvested many fine mushrooms on the top of the hills, far away from THE PEOPLE and as usual i got into a dialog with myself and the fun guys and i realized (again) that these are triggering speech and information even before one drinks THE TEA and becomes inebriated. This is why i joined you lovely bead heads to listen and learn more of this groundshaking psychotopic and maybe post an trip report or 2.((( we shall see what will become of his dreams)))) Now i shalt read some enlightening threads. |

Why I joined… well, me and a buddy (from the college days) were talking about those great times and how much fun we had on our shroom excursions. I had dabbled a time or two since with the last time being about 6 or 7 years ago. So the discussion turned to sourcing, naturally, and he works a job that takes him around to a lot of businesses where he meets a variety of “cultured” individuals. They all laughed at his unusual request making some “olden days” comments and said they might tap a source in a high dollar range. Me, I’ve always been a “do-it-yourself” kinda guy, especially when fun is being “poked” at me. So, as usual, I asked myself; “Well how hard can it be?” Three months later and I’m saying hello to my little friends… I’ve been doing a lot of research along the way cuz I have a 13 year old kid that gets his nose into my projects sometimes and needed to keep on the dl. I’m a business exec tryin’ to project the straight and narrow. My kid listens to Sabbath, Floyd, Chicago, Rush, etc. so I won’t go hypocrite when the day finally comes, but I’ll give him some solid guidance… Anyway, that’s how I ended up here checkin’ out the cool kids again!
