good soil

yup. ocean forest is the best soil ive used. i mix 40% perlite and 60% ocean forest. i start adding nutes when my bottom leaves begin to yellow a bit.

It is the ONLY soil I use now-a-days, for everything, but especially for our favorite smoking plant.

It's a great base for an organic setup.

The 40% perlite is a good idea, as this soil is very thick. I always cut it with about this much for optimal results.

I think I remember seeing someone making a Pan Cyan cake similiar to this. They had the nutrients in the middle, then the Ocean Forest on the outside. Apparently it provided contam protection + outer moisture retention for fruiting Pans from the cake. The mycelium did seem to take kindly to it.

i used it then scrapped the idea when i got a bit bigger. i ended up using ProMix (black bag) mixed with worm castings and perlite. It seemed to work just as well and was less expensive. FFOF can get pricey.
