I just wondered how every one goes about getting the vermiculite off the bottom of there shrooms

i cut off the ends, and throw the musheis into a pan. i then fill the pan half way with water from the faucet, swirl (maybe agitate with my fingers) and pour (using my hand to keep the mushies in the pan)... i do this 3 or 4 times or until no more vermiculite pours down the sink. then fan dry as normal...

try not to rinse them with a sprayer because they will blue all over instead of just blue'ing where the cut was made.

i slice it off when its fresh,
use your nail and slice it off, kinda like a knife and an apple
just cut off the skin this way it doesnt take off
as much stipe compared to cutting off the base
