new VIP usergroup to get special privs

want to create a new usergroup
for those who Donate to Topia.
give them animated avatars,
images in sigs,
better PM limits,
vip chatroom ,
that kind of thing.
any interest ?
any good ideas for what to call them, this ?
donors sounds like you've been in a bad wreck
so i'd like a better idea but i'm stumped.

less work for me than trying to track many members
who needs to renew when.
so a on-time donation to join the group
i think a fairly decent donation would be $25.
more is of course welcome too.

vip is usually the trend at forums, but i think gold member sounds more appropriate around here. I think there are alot of members that would like the bells and whistles, should help you out during those slow months.

Anyway, I agree with TCO and greenweanie and anyone else who isn't crazy about "VIP" sounds like a credit card or something......and its so common, just givin' my thoughts.

Gold Member is better, but still don't think its hittin' the true heart of it. I thought their names highlighted in blue would be great, but remembered sponsors have blue.

Back to what to call the "givers".........Here are a few I can think of. They probably aren't good and may be worse, but more ideas the better is my opinion

So, have you decided to stick with VIP as the name of this new category?

I'd been thinking about where to use a name/idea I came up with for the secret society of amateur mycologists who, thanks to taking the long view like the most successful secret societies, will ultimately (and secretly) run the world. Granted, it'll take about 3-4 generations at a minimum, so we should start right away. It might help boost donations if people knew they were joining a group bent on world domination, but in a good way!

So, how about the Order of the Quartmasons? Quartmasonry is not a cult, it's a lifestyle!

BTW: Don't tell anybody about this.

Let new members ask what the hell the cryptic symbol found by some members' avatars means. They'll want to join all the more just to get access to the Top Secret Quartmason-Only forum...
