this is some kind of math roman text. that is it typed. let me know if thats correct. otherwise i have to find that text used previously. more detail on this one. moss, cracks. pain in the butt. but looks cool. i can tone down the cracks or whatever. its a little large. but it can be downsized easily.

shorter version of animation. i can change the animation to whatever. let me know. remove moss, add moss, change the columns to look more withered, even clean them up a bit. there is alot of options. ill keep tweaking it. the colors can be changed and even the bricks can be warped into different shapes. im trying to mess with one, where the column has the poppies and mushrooms popping outwards instead of carved inwards. its difficult to get the look right. tried it earlier but was no luck.

this animation has a more central theme and the text fades in and out. or the text can stay. can add details to this one with a bit less moss and better cracks.

ok. just let me know what else needs changing. i darkened up the moss and slowed down the planet. also, we can change the text at the end. you may not want it, or we can have it fade in and out. or even fade in, glow bright, then fade out. theres tons of things you can do to the text. to make it look really cool. i like the fade in and fade out. where it says one word at a time, then pauses for a half second so you can read it.



so far i like this one the most.

I'm in a 3d design and animation class this semester with 3D studio max 8, I'll see if I can create something along these lines that has a little more depth. No promises though the labs are grueling enough as it is. All that mousing around can get to a guy you know...

there is a 3d feature on photoshop cs3 but i tried screwing with it. you need photoshop after effects and i didn't have it.

yeah that would be cool bm. its tough to make something 3d with what i have now. all that was drawn from chopping up pictures. if anyone wants the photoshop files to screw around with let me know.

im real new to all this so im just playing around right now. don't have much experience with 3d programs. ill leave that to the pros.

that is cool synthesia. try putting the etched text into that and see how it looks. i bet that would look cool. its tough to get that etched look. but what you did looks awesome if you could throw a stone texture on it. that would look sweet!

it's a photoshop filter and a font... not sure what you need...

just make a plain rectangle in paint. use a texturey font. then open the file in photoshop elements. apply craquelure filter. wa-lah.

a little more 3d but this file is getting huge. the animation has the moon and the sun meeting in the center of the arch. then the words know thyself appear and disappear.

The mycotopia text starts the glow a yellowish color after that looking like its fluctuating.

question is, are those colors ok? we can do everything from making cylindrical columns to more square columns. im attaching a picture i really like. and want to make something similar to this.

we can do alot of things. telll me what you like. personally i like the blueish tinted stars that go well with the bright green of the moss. im gonna throw up something a bit different here soon. to give you an idea.

vines climbing up pillars would be good,
morning glory blue/purple flowers.
moss still needs to be a bit darker.
crown of poppy pods a bit more defined
stairs leading up to a porch [3D] under pillars

yeah im toying with some things now. right now, this text is really cool looking hip. check this out. this is more of a stacked stone look. but i was toying with it. ill try more later. check this out. disregard the text on the building itself.

i still want to play with the stonework a little more. and get something more defined. that last paragraph gives me more direction. ill add details like moss, cracks and all that later. here is just some examples of cool things. we can even add fire behind the text. im thinking now that i look at it, this glowing text rocks!

well the moss didn't turn out the way i wanted it to. it really clutters up the drawing. ill try and figure something out. i think the clean look reads better. ill try this with a clean look. also the previous animation is a bit better. the glowing text actually fades in on that one. where on this one, the glowlight appears. its not as effective looking.
