What was that pill I took?!

Some time ago a friend scored some mescaline, She said it would be expensive, but I really didn't care, I was very excited to try it. So she finally gets the stuff and after one glance I say "that's not mescaline" it was a tiny greenish pill, about the size of a nerds candy. Friend swore it was mesc and I had to bust out the psychedelics encyclopedia to show her that real mesc would need to be much bigger than a nerd. Anyhow, she said that others she knew had tried it and it was the real deal, and that they know the chemist, blah, blah... Ok, so I take two, what the hell. Well, it WAS very psychedelic, but not too intense, VERY spiritual, I had a sense of being out of body, out in the cosmos, definitely NOT acid. It was great, really clean too, no nausea, it was a bit speedy though. So, I bought more.

My question is: Just what the heck was that drug anyway? 2cb, proscaline?

Sounds like ya ate a Roll.Sometimes the pills are big sometimes small.I suppose it depends on the pill press but sounds like mdma to me..\\ Molly\\

I haven't taken MDMA before, but I'm pretty sure this wasn't it. It was really visual and psychedelic. All the research I've done has led me to believe it was 2CB.

Was there a marking on the pill? Sounds like mdma or mda.. Mda will give you visuals..

Sounds like MDA or a 2c-x to me. MDMA isn't really what I would call psychedelic, more empathogenic.

Well maybe a lesson learned to not take anything that you do not know for sure what it is.Im glad this was a great pill for ya but next time eating something ya might not know what it is might be a death cocktail.Please use caution.Especially now days when profit beats the ''Fun of the drug" for most sellers...

I wouldn't know what you ate, but I'd say it was your good luck that it was a nice time. After showing someone the documented proof that the pill could not possibly have been what it was being sold as, you took two of them anyway?

I have encountered "mescaline" a lot recently, all of it fake and much of it on blotter squares same as acid comes on. The person will defend it as genuine even when I'm showing them the chapter on Mescaline in Jonathan Ott's masterpiece, Pharmacotheon, that disproves the claim. I have to give up after awhile, since they "know" it's mesc. but I make sure others are aware it's BS, which causes some animosity when they try to sell some but lies are lies and lies about chemicals people intend to ingest are egregious and should not be unchallenged IMO.

When someone passes along bullshit about psychedelics, they should catch some hell about it because it is a serious violation of trust, even if unintentional. If someone is not technically knowledgeable enough to asses a claim, they should not parrot that claim to the next person they swing some pills to. Only by severely criticizing such negligence will we shame these otherwise well-intentioned people into reducing it, and that will make inner exploration safer for everybody. I believe that everyone needs to do their own research about drugs they want to take; who else can you trust as much as you?

The more people lie about drugs, or believe lies without checking into them, the more bad incidents will happen and the worse psychedelics will look to the general public. That isn't helpful for crafting saner drug policies.
