CPA is altering tips at the end of pay period!

Man the cpa at work has been messing with my tips at the end of the week.
she turned about 38 dollars into 90

, wtf this hurt my check bad! This cannot be legal.

any one had this happen to them?

now they are saying that they have to hold me check till friday so they can get it straight!

been a while since i waited tables but i remember them adding up all your sales and taking 15% of that number to determine what your tips SHOULD have been for IRS reporting.

Ex: $600 in food sales x15% = $90 in tips, assuming that people tip you the 15% that is expected.

You have to report ALL of your tips that people left you on their credit cards - to the IRS. Your CASH tips, however, you can under-report a little bit because there is no proof.

that's why if i pay by credit card i always leave the tip in cash.

yea its nice when they are in cash! and as for the 15% it's taken out only if they have a party (group of 8 or more) and that is not always the case,if it is under that then it is up to the tables to leave the tips!
hell I have waited a party of 26 and only got 2 dollar tip when there bill was over 200 dollars because I wasn't told that I had to tell the cashier to charge them 18% (it's 18% here), and the only reason that i got 2 was because an older lady had stayed behind and talked with me and she realized that nothing had been left and thats all she had on her,(sweet lady it was her birthday to)
this has been going on for a long time when another waitress asked about it she was told that "that is the #'s that the CPA works with and not to worry, she's good with the books" owner I wonder how much money I have been f_ed out of because of this!

I have talked to a few people today and they said that this is going to be a rough battle for me, if I pursue this, I don't think that i can just let this go, even if I do and quit he will be doing this to several others, well I guess the best I can do on that is tell them and ask if they need help and if they do nothing then it is their faults but I hate feeling like that
