    Thanks for you thoughts.

Well. Sounds terrible to say the least. So, that being said, I certainly do not doubt that the people going through such a state are worthy of our compassion and healing thoughts.

On the other hand, something sounds hyped or fictitious about the whole thing. I mean, anything that is being blamed on "chemtrails" strikes me as being a little fishy. The whole thing is in need of some closer examination, research and scrutiny.

I just wondered if any of you had any thought on the matter. I read an article in the New York Times Sunday Times Magazine about it, and it just sounded so weird. -like it is just a conspiracy theory or something. -but probably that is just the way it was made into print.

I hear talk about these "chemtrails" from some of my friends, and they say they are like contrails but last in the sky for hours. I suppose if someone ever looked at one of the planes with a telescope they could determine if the trails were coming from some kind of nozzle or if they are really just normal contrails caused by vortices off the wing tips and engines. Another problem is if they are "chemtrails" being sprayed so as to fall upon us and give us a strange new disease, why do they stay up in the sky for hours? I thought that'd be more a function of weather conditions; conditions that also happen to be conducive to contrail formation. Lastly, at those altitudes, even a C-130 couldn't carry enough of some chemical to allow widespread dispersion while simultaneously maintaining a sufficient concentration of the chemical to affect much of anything on the ground.

Here are some interesting variations of contrails:

This last one is spectacular, and the blurb about it says:

I don't know WTF to make of the Morgellons thing...

Was it "Me and My Scabies?" (no, probably not...)

One thing I found that talked about Morgellons had a helpful link to wikipedia about delusional parasitosis (interesting stuff). Apparently, if you think you have something living on or in your skin, and you pick at it for a long time, it won't heal. Then, when you put on a shirt or something, little fibers get stuck in the ooze of the self-inflicted wound, which some people then collect and give to their doctors (gee, thanks!). I would expect that things big enough for someone to collect would be easy to rule out as a new parasitic organism vs. some polyester. The CDC is actually looking into it, though, since some cases are apparently not so obviously delusional.

I saw a 20/20 or dateline and it was on medical mysteries talking about this family that "has" it. For them they got the fibers removed by a doctor on screen and then he tested it to see what it was and by their tests it was an yet to be known substance. The show ended with that. Pretty crazy lookin under a microscope.

I've been spared the horror, but just barely. Some friends of friends came to town for a big party after being on the road a few months, and everybody slept on the floor for a few days (small house, lots of people), but I couldn't get away from work that time. Everybody who slept on the floor got scabies (a gift that keeps on giving). I recall some blankets and furniture being discarded after that incident.
