![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Lol, I didn't want to seem eager by being the first one to post in this thread, lol. Pretty arachnids! They all look fat healthy and happy! Question about the OBT, did it slow down any when it got bigger? I have one with about a 1" legspan and that sucker is FAST. You mention an interest in breeding, have you bred tarantulas as of yet? I've had one attempt with some pink toes... ![]()

![]() | Nope those are all different species. I hope to breed sometime soon. They can have 100's of babies! The Usumbara isn't so bad, just not one for handling.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah that's true, I forget that it can't kick urticating hairs at me. My salmon pink birdeater causes me the worst rashes when she gets irritated and kicks little clouds of those hairs at me. I swear those things will be floating around in the air for a few days after too cuz I end up with itchy rashes on places I wouldn't expect, like on my belly. I have a successful colony of blaptica discoidales (dwarf cave cockroaches) from costa rica or something like that, now that they are reproducing, holy cow, I'm never buying crickets again! Does seem they're a little smarter than the crickets though, The adults tend to get into these stand-offs with my salmon pink bird eater, where they freeze if she moves towards them, and then she freezes, unsure of which piece of bark it was that moved, and they sit there for HOURS the tarantula waiting for the roach to move, the roach waiting for the tarantula to get bored and fall asleep. Such fascinating creatures!

![]() | I have a small colony of lobster roaches. They get about as big as crickets. They are definately smarter, but so much easier to breed than crickets. They smell less than crickets too.
