That he could but by the time he was in his swing at the window the key would be put in the ignition turned put into drive and peddle pressed DOWN. Im sure you would get away.

depends on the truck, if he got in the red truck, and the bear got in the bed... well then you'd be hauling a lot of polar bear. i wonder who is taking the pictures, and why didnt the bear just go after the photographer.

or they could throw whatever food they had to it, then jump in a truck and skidaddle.

i hear bears, like many things can smell fear, and the chemical signals in our sweat are giveaways along with an increased heartrate and so on...
therefore when the bear knows your afraid of it, it knows its higher up on the food chain and thus you're good to be eaten. however i dont think i would have the nerve to stand tall and be unafraid of a polar bear where not much else is on the menu (in the arctic). pulling a grizzly man move with a polar bear probably wouldnt work if that bear was hungry.

I didn't mean to sound too harsh about "tear the doors off"...

I live with bears in my neighborhood...in my yard often. We have coastal brown bears here. They occasionally destroy vehicles or campers. It's shocking how much damage they can do! I would not want to hide in a car if one was after me. You do what you have to though...

I did find out these photos were taken in Barrow, AK. The guy did survive by hiding in a vehicle, but not one of the trucks.

Next time he may want a well armed partner. Walking around armed is common, LEO is used to it. Concealed or openly carried handguns are legal with no permits required. You do have to be 14 to open carry and 21 to carry concealed...

That’s scary!! Black bears are around these parts, when im out hunting and I run up on one, I run full steam and start screaming my head off funny to see something that big take off cause your crazy, and to see a 300lb bear climb a little ole tree is freaking the funniest thing ever, but on the fear thing I have been sleeping on a down tree in the swamp waiting for bambi and ole big butt bear came threw that time I got a shock and the bear started stomping when I started to sweat and getting nervous so I believe that, had to let one rip in the air to get him to scat

i doubt i would run on snow and tease a bear he has claws to not slip you dont..

also i would of pelted his face with a snowball when i was looking over the truck how mad do you thin that would of made him??

Polar bears are actually pretty easily distracted. The accepted wisdom for escaping one is to remove your clothes one item at a time and drop them as you retreat because the bear will stop to sniff each article before continuing to pursue you. Unfortunately, since one only encounters polar bears in chillier regions, once you've escaped you die of exposure.
