change username

In the edit profile section there is a selection to change your password,e-mail address,signature,ect. but theres no selection available to change your username.
How do I change my username?

you can't,
that would defeat the whole purpose of registering.
but i can make changes if a good reason exists.

Before I canceled my membership a few months ago my username was hm13666,I tried re-registering that username but aparently I had somehow already registered using the username fungi13 (which I have no memory of doing but thats not unusual) I wouldent mind using my old username: hm13666 or if not I would realy like to go with: SLEESTAK. If its easier for me to cancel my membership then re-register I will be happy to do so,if not could I please change my username to
SLEESTAK or hm13666?

P.S. What is the "signature" option in the edit profile section suposed to be used for? Since you deleted mine (no big deal) for being inapropriate and all it said was "BEWARE OF SLEESTAK"? How could that offend anyone?
My first day back and already Im' becoming a pain in the ass.Please bare with me.

You can change your publically displayed name (but not username) at the lycaeum without having to start a new account. I think it is a handy feature if you get pissed off with your original name. I suppose mods can check what the original name was.
