    Storage of Chemicals

    Hi,

I couldn't really find a right forum to post this thread, so i'll just start here:

A friend of mine is growing shrooms and extracting alkaloid from plant material.
He has all his chemicals in one cabinet, but I wonder if that's ok.
So I wonder if anybody could tell me how he could store his chemicals the best way.
Especially, which to keep separate and what to watch out for.
His closet looks a bit like this:

    Top shelf:
    Classwork, Grinder, Scale, Gloves.

    1st (from the top):
Petroleum Ether (aka white Spirit/aka Wasbenzine)
    Ether
    Alcohol (96%)

    2nd:
    H2O2 (40%)
Sodium Hydroxide (dry labquality from Fluka) (aka Natrium Hydroxide)
Chloride Tablets (Which I think contain Ca(ClO)2.

He ordered it a bit by 'feeling', so he's not sure if there's something next to each other which shouldn't be.
Another thing is that he doesn't know if separation by a shelf is sufficient enough or that some chemicals shouldn't even come near each other.

    'mANY' Thnx!
