![]() | Hello mycotopia Hi mycotopia, I'm posting to introduce myself and become a part of the community. As you can probably tell from my name, I LOVE WEILII'S! (P. Weilii). After months of searching, 4 days ago I found my first weilii patch. I proceded to take spore prints which a foaf will use to cultivate some mushrooms (hopefully). Im not confident in my skiils as this will be a first attempt at cultivation, and from what I have read Weilli's are difficult to grow. This is my only option as of right now seeing as I have not figured out a way to get spore prints to Georgia without significant risk. Thanks all, I hope I will have a grow log/pictures to contribute to the community within the next few weeks. ![]() Weiliicoyote |

![]() | Welome aboard, Dr. Andrew Weil is credited with naming that one. found in Georgia, as you know and one of the states that prohibites spores thru the mail along with Cal. and Idaho. The P.O. box in an adjacent state is a good idea . Good luck |

![]() | Welcome. Psilocybe weilii was named in honor of Andrew Weil, he did not name the mushroom after himself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybe_weilii

![]() | not that I would ever condone/suggest illegal activity, but how would they know if only prints were sent? to the best of my knowledge spore prints contain no psilocybin or psilocin so how exactly would they know if only a print was sent? I may just be naïve, but I'm not from the south so I'm not really acquainted with their laws. |

One day I'll consider getting a P.O. box out of state to expand my collection and maybe try some exotics. | |

![]() | IMHO the reason why Georgia, Cal., and Idaho prohibit the importation of spores is because they have large agricultural interests and they think "fungus spores of unknown origine" are dangerous to they're crops. If that's the reason[and i'm not sure] then it is an absurd law. More fungi spores get there via tires, wheelwells, clothing, etc. inadvertently than could get there thru the mail. |
