This forum blows my mind on a regular basis with posts about topics that I would never have come across if not for dropping in. I thank you all for that. What makes me curious though, is what blows YOUR mind? So, I propose a question...If you were to say to someone, "look into this, you'll be amazed!", what topics would you bring up? For example, i'd probably have to say that knowledge of the golden ratio or maybe the double-slit test would be my response to this question. However, random things like the "contact juggling" which aren't really philosophical but, awesome none the less would be great to be seen here. So, my modern mycotopia shamans, whats next to be googled/researched? |

This isn't necessarily a topic, but The Da Vinci Code was on TV today and I remembered I had this tucked away in my bookmarks... http://www.haltadefinizione.com/magnifier.jsp?idopera=1 If you like Leonardo.

I like to make origami. I like designing mini ecosystems in terrariums. I know, I know, not all that mind blowing, not at first really, but once you get into the nitty-gritty details of either of the above, you find things like Golden Ratio, or Contact Juggling even, become a part of the process. Currently I'm reading Become What You Are by Alan Watts. I also enjoy reading Zen philosophy as explained by various Japanese samurai (Way of the Life Giving Sword, Book of Five Rings, etc.). I find the topics of Wu Wei and Zen to be fascinating, even more so when I try to apply them to my understanding of myself and my interactions with the world around me. Its amazing how complex simplicity is.
