| Okay,... I have only had the pleasure of experiencing shrooms once before. I went to Japan with my dad and we were able to buy some legally. Anyway... ever since then I've wanted to experience them again and I'm finally persuing that. Anyhow... I've started taking Fluoxetine, generic for Prozac, a couple months ago. I'm doing great now and all that but my question is... is it safe to still consume Shrooms? I tried to research it a little but the only info I found is that you just need a smaller dose. This makes sense because it also makes me an easy drunk. I know you should be in good mental health / stable if you're going to do them but I'm comfortable and feel I'm not at any greater risk now. I would have been concerned if I was still depressed but yeah... lol Anyone have personal, hell, even second hand experience with this? Feel free to PM me if you aren't comfortable talking about antidepressants ![]() |

![]() | Its safe other than the usual disclaimers about taking psychedelics if you are depressed. I have periodic major depression and I think mushrooms are the best thing for it, myself. In general, SSRI's reduce the effect of psychedelics, although at least one source indicates this doesn't occur when combining prozac and psilocybin. http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/maois/maois_info4.shtml

![]() | if you are not depressed then why are you taking prozac ? no, the fact is that you are still depressed, and you should be aware that shrooms can intensify that depression. tripping is for only strong healthy minds at their peak condition- and even then it can be an ordeal. i cannot recommend it to anyone just a few months into treatment for clinical depression.
