Dipping a joint in honey for flavor?

Hello all,

I have heard of people dipping a joint in honey to add flavor. So, I thought I'd like to try this just for shits.

I was wondering are there any hazards of doing this? Also, are there any specifics I should know about it? (not that it sounds all that complicated...)

The sugar in the honey caramelizes when it burns and it tastes like, well, burnt sugar.
If this were going to work, I would think you would maybe dim the opposite end in there so you get a little honey flavor on your lips... might be cool.

If it's flavor you want, check you local head shop for flavored blunt wraps. The Kush is my favorite... apparently they come in Wild Honey flavor too!

yeah dont dip your j in honey, thats going to become a sticky mess. Instead enjoy flavored papers

we used to use the honey to seal the blunts... just right before you close it up, dip your finger in the honey and use it to help seal it up.... instead of spitting all over it...

Don't dip it it makes a huge mess and it doesn't burn very well. I would go with Sucker's suggestion.

I remember something about smoke from suger being poisonous but i not sure but then we used to dip in formaldehyde

dont do it man, just enjoy the wonderfull taste of cannabis alone. unless its shwag were talkin bout..........then just make some kief.........

It's a nice idea, I would love for thick, honey tasting smoke to be pouring out of the end of a joint.

From the flavoured papers which I've tried, I wasn't too impressed I must say. Didn't really taste like anything, and we were smoking a load of paper 'cos they were so thick.

pot picks up flavors very easily,
i'd bet if you stored your pot in a sealed container
with an open jar of honey nearby in there
the pot would absorb the taste without any dipping.

I used to use molasses to stick my joints when I used rice papers (which barely stick for me) just don't use to much lol

If it was smoked another way, the honey thing might work.

For example, shisha that is smoked out of a hookah is tobacco with a honey and/or molasses binder. But the tobacco is heated with the charcoal that isn't in direct contact with the smoking material, instead there's usually foil or a piece of metal in between. I think that is a big difference because then you don't get the nasty burned-sugar taste, but instead it is really smooth.
