Legal Buds [MOVED]

Just wondering if anyone has smoked any of the so-called legal MJ alternatives that are widely available for purchase across the internet.. such names as:
Krypto™ Buds

Hazysage™ Herbal Buds

Which contain blends of Wild Dagga, Wild Lettuce, Leonotis Sibericus, etc.

Just wondering if they are worth trying and if so, what would you recommend?

yep... it's all garbage.. at least compared to MJ. but things like St. Johns wart (proze smoke as i know it) calms you down, takes away coffee shakes and the like but thats about all it'll do.

ive seen those ads and i havent tried any of those so called legal buds myself. It cant be that great because its legal.

I haven't tried the legal shit... I haven't ran out of MJ to inspire trying alternatives. Why make pork chops when I'm happy with my steak. Don't start drooling PB, it was a figure of speech... besides, ya know I'll fix ya up anytime you want some dinner

It's getting increasingly difficult to get MJ.. a few of my various grower friends have all either stopped growing or gone MIA. And not quite sure if i'm ready to takeon the task of growing, myself.

I've noticed those ads for legal buds seem to focus on their appearance; how much they look like real MJ. How it looks is not relevant to how it smokes (taste, effects, etc.). I concluded that they are sold mostly to people who then resell them as if they were real MJ. Having those full page color ads in the magazines every month means they are selling a lot of the stuff, and I really really doubt there are that many people who just buy and smoke it themselves. Bad ripoff mojo.

As far as growing your own goes, a friend has been doing a lot of online research on the latest methods, and he's tinkering with a bank of densely packed T-8 flourescents as the light source (no HID's). I'll report back when he's actually grown something with it (a test tomato plant took off like crazy). Advantages to flouros are: 1) You can get all the necessary parts from a local lighting supplier with no paranoia 2) vastly cheaper to get up and running 3)cooler room 4) No HID radio frequency signature-in case y'all don't know, a simple reciever tuned properly can indicate if an HID lamp is operating nearby, so theoretically a car can drive around with a receiver that beeps or something when it detects the RF of an HID grow light-

The pros and cons of flouros have been extensively debated on several MJ forums, and the balance of opinion is heavy toward "Pro," with a caveat: flouros are for ultra-gourmet buds, not mass commercial quantity. I'll post more info after some results have been realized...

I had a friend of mine who did buy some of that crap. LoL...not because he thought it would get him high, he had money burning a whole in his pocket and said what the hell.

he smoked it...I wouldn't....he said it didn't do anything for him except give him a massive head ache.

all i have to say is GARBAGE !!! that stuff is a waste of your money and time. i've read an article on those legal buds. an they have no psychoactive properties what so ever.

Salvia is real nice stuff, but it ain't no replacement for da sticky icky...

All the legal buds I've messed with were ultra total useless crap.

on another note..

I smoked some pharm grade Kanna extract (Sceletium tortuosum)

and that was close to a mild marijuana high..
nice body high, very relaxing....
nothing really big though...but enjoyable...

Heh.. I have plenty of salvia .. but thats just not what I'm in the mood for .

Hopefully i'll be able to find some buds tonight.. I got such a craving. It's been too long since I last toked. But thanks to everyone for the responses.. glad I decided to consult the community b4 buying that garbage.
