questions on THC overproduction "tricks"

Hello again Mycotopia!

I've been hearing through some friends about some "tricks" you can do to force your plant into a THC "defense" mode, one thing i heard was that you could light starve (complete darkness) for 3-5 days right before harvesting forcing the plant into defense and causing mass THC production, also I heard you could pinch of the very tips of leaves at a certain period in the plants life and continuing to do so into the flowering will also cause another defense causing more mass THC production to sheild from leaf breakage.....are these true? If so can someone give me some more detail into these so I can perform them corectly and not kill/harm my plant! Thanks!

Yes pinching works well and it also allows for branching to occur, being the same as topping but you dont lose yer main kola. You could also try driving a nail into the main stem two weeks or so before harvest. A nail the size of 1/3 the stems girth.

sweet, good to know the pinching helps, cuz from what it looks like 2 seedlings poppe up and i think i might put them down to far cuz these seedlings already have small tru leaves when they popped up so i went lookin for the third seed and its gone lol, and with only 2 plants i want them to be DAAAAAANK that nail idea scares me though lol maybe if you could go into more detail about what it does that would be great

The nail idea is a myth, just like the old myth of pouring boiling water on roots and the one about hanging plants upside down makes the thc fall to the buds.. all myths. If you put a nail through your plant you are disrupting water and nutrients...
Sometimes I can't get to trimming my plants right away and they sit here in mostly dark, I haven't noticed anything from that either, I suspect another myth.
The only way to get DAAAANK is to make sure the seeds you start with come from good genetics, and treat your plant right, plenty of light, air circulation, and water(w/proper nutrients).

Pinching is a good way to get multiple branching, but should be done in vegging only... and early as possible.
