![]() | Try to keep it a bit moist but not soggy. Just stick your finger in the soil, and if you can feel a little moisture then your good.

![]() ![]() ![]() | No, thats not what he said. Quote:
I let mine dry until it is REALLY dry an inch down. I really feel that it is easier to water a thirsty plant than help a plant that is suffering from over watering. Really focus hard not to over water. Watch your plant to and down load the OG Zip we have here, its really good info for newer growers. Im still really green too.

![]() | watering times. water frequency has a lot to do with what temperature your plants are growing in. The hotter the temps the more water they use and transpire. Everybody's situation is diff. Depends how big the containers you use, how much dirt are in those containers, how much air flow etc. you Don't want to keep it moist all the time. Keeping it moist makes your roots not grow as big and also when wet all the time your roots cant get air and you will get what is called "root rot" .The roots will start rotting from being to wet all the time and your plants wont grow as good. Also from being wet all the time the roots will try to put out its own salts to try to repel the water which is bad to the plant. there's a number of ways you can check for moisture. One which was already mentioned is using your finger to gauge moisture level but you want to go down about an inch into soil. One other way is to buy a low cost moisture meter to check soil or if you know the temps and evironment of plants are the same most of the time you can just start counting days after your last watering and watch plants until the leaves start wilting then you know how days you can go without watering. After you find that out then you just water one day before hand. Hope this helps.
