    WHATS GOING ON???

Well my little girl is now at 2 weeks into flowering.
    • Yellow spots
    • cracked leaves
    • the edges and tips look like they have been burnt.
    • some discoloration
And most of all that occurs the most at the toward the bottom of the plant and works it way up.

Im pretty sure i have the pest under control (i think)

Any adivce on how to make her feel better.

    maybe some FERTS???

    thanks yall
    iLL

P.S What are the recommended temps for flowering?

    night-off?
    day-on?

If you have been giving your plants ferts I would stop now, it sounds like fert burn to me, if you havent been feeding it, I'm stumped. If you added more ferts to try and fix it you might have to flush the soil with no fert added water.

I found that if you're growroom is light tight enough:
    on- night
    off- day
works the best at regulating temps as the lights help heat up the room during a cold night and as long as it's dark, the lack of light and heat should help prevent it getting too hot in the day

Ideal temps is anywhere from 75 to 80 but they will grow hotter if they need to. Humidity for flowering should be low (like 20-30%)

Ya i haven't used any ferts at all.

My temp when lights are off=day is 80-85

My temp when lights are on=night is about 90-100.

I don't know why she is acting funny??

If i was to flush the soil how would i go about doing that with out shocking it or killing it????

    thanks

If you havent added any ferts, and you have this problem flushing is not the answer (I wouldnt flush ANY soil grow myself) Your temps are kinda high, but not enough to cause this I wouldnt think.
I'm stumped man. Could you have been over/under watering? Have you been moving them around alot? Any experimental ideas being used?
Or could they be alright and your over reacting? I ask this question because it's common for beggining growers to see some yellowing, lower branches dying, spots on leaves, and freak out thinking that something is wrong. When it could be related to a few factors, such as the bottom branches not geting shit worth of light and naturally dying, low N so leaves turn yellow from the plant eating the N from a few leaves, spots on the leaves could just be in the genetics (I'm not quite sure about this one, but I have had a problem with spotted leaves, and nothing I did would get rid of it, no negative effects could be found, it was bagseed).
I dont know what your problem could be. Try and think it through, and if anything comes to mind let us know.

Was this plant grown under a 400W light in a 10 sq.ft. space that you have described elsewhere?

    No pix?

The only thing i can think of is that..

ya i kinda have moved it a little bit and touched it alot (checking for pest) it's also bagseed.

My space is 4' tall x 5' wide x 2 deep (lined with foil)

i'm using 6 cfl in a rubbermaid with foil. Ya i know its cheap but its bagseed and my frist grow.

As far as watering i have watered it when it's dry... Should you water it on a constant bases (every other day)?????

I gotta get a usb cord and i will post some pics...

    thanks for the help

Does the rubbermaid chamber have a fan?

    DING DING DING

Nope my rubber maid does not have a fan!!! i have a fan inside the grow room but that aint enough so i added another bigger fan(outside) and left the door open.

Until i can improve my rubber maid!!!

I came home to check on her today and she was looking like death. All druppy and HOT (thristy)..

SO i gave her two cups of water and slowy brought down the temp to around 78.

Harder than i though keeping the room cool during light On.

I hope to improve on the rubber maid soon...

OH ya my next attempt will be at DWC.

Any tips on how to keep a 400w mh/hps cool?????

thanks for all the help and info

You will need to blow air into the chamber and over the bulbs. The air then exits out through the bottom. You will need a minimum of 200cfm of fan to carry away 200W of heat with a 6 degree C rise.

Keep the intake down low, and the exhaust up high in your grow area. Heat rises.

My one thought of blowing the air from top down is the warmer air will have a lower RH and keep the buds from getting the dreaded mold that I have heard about.
