![]() | Paranoia about a FIRE??? Well for stoner like me paranoia is a bitch... FOAF has a good size closet space. there is 2 100w CFL with a 10.5 reflector and like most people, got a little paranoia problem about a fire. Is there any thing to worry about???? nothing sits on the floor, good size fan, and it has carpet.. i was thinking how hard would it be to build a little automatic sprinkler system for your grow op. i'm might make an attempt at it... gonna be kinda tricky... if any ones got any advice for FOAF that would be great, to help lift is paranoia... Thanks all iLL |

![]() | Well for screw base cfls not much of a problem however I do prefer ceramic sockets for the bulbs. As far at T8s and T12s, I have seen the little plastic sockets catch fire. The best work around for that is to use add-a-tap sockets and just plug the ends in. Much snugger fit with little chance of arcing |

![]() | good breakers on all circuits heavy duty cords, timers regular visual inspection of electrical components . hard-wire what you can, avoid plugs. be sure all ground wires are intact and secure. smoke alarms. extinguisher rated for electrical fires. luck.

![]() | Buy a amp probe and use it to see exactually how much amperage is actually going thru your wiring...dont rely on how much amp draw the nameplates say on your lights, fans ectera If you are pulling more than 25 amps on a 30 amp service you are asking for trouble Dont use the cheap cheesy ass timers on multiple light setups Re-read Hippies post earlier in this thread Be safe with `Lectricity

![]() | Thanks for the feed back... Ya a sprinkler system is NOT a good idea unless you got alot of $$$ to build one. LoL Hey Hip i saw your post about the 300w cfl's can you plug them in to the high duty 10.5 (clamp reflector). How many BABIES would 2/300w CFL support? IS using a good size closet for a few plants ok, (4-6) with out makeing some kind of Chamber?? IS is better to use the whole closet or is easier to mantain a small homemade Chamber? thanks for the advice... iLL |

![]() | Hey Illusion here is a link to a grow using those exact reflectors and cfls in a closet. Seems relevant. http://forums.mycotopia.net/grassroo...-opinions.html
