What do you use to clean your glass?
I have used 420 glass formula and also just salt and alcohol.
Both work, but I know I am missing something here.
Any comments or a point to a good thread would be greatly appreciated.

BTW my fingers are resin covered and now so is my keyboard! LOL

420 cleaner, or i heard you can boil em but it makes your whole house smell like resin

soak it in 91% iso for a hr. everything will run out under some water after that. tahts all weve used for years. 420 clean is a rip off.

Patience is the trick. That is a hard one for me unless I forget about it!

Pour some salt in your piece, then very WARM alcohol and shake shake shake. Strips it clean in minutes.

The trick is to make sure the alcohol is warm to hot, but not so hot you can't hold it w/ out a towel.

Then to rince it place the bowl right up to the faucet and plug the carb so a stream of water shoots out the mouth piece (unless its a bigger piece). Hold it there for a couple minutes, dry it abit and take a big whiff and some dry pulls to make sure theres no more alcohol.


Salt and Alcohol is tried and true, its what all those expensive solutions secretly use.

epsom salt dissolved in alcohol always works for me....don't boil your glass please... even if it's pyrex it can still smash on the bottom of the pot/pan/pc...

Simple Green (lemon scent) . pretty sure the stuff is non-tox
just microwave some water add this stuff (run your glass under warm water first so there is not a big temp jump) add some salt and shake it like it owes you money. for stems and other smaller things put in a glad or other plastic bowl with water to cover and add the simple green and boil it in there for a few mins (this method stinks of cat piss and burnt coffe kinda) or boil some water/SG and add (remember to run glass under hot water) your other items, less stinky this way and for the hard to reach i use wood skewers.

i like to purchase a special bubbler piece from a local pipeshop every six months for one reason: I break that pipe after 6 months. Why is that? Well, as I'm smoking in it a bit of the herb falls into the area where the water is, and as more and more herb falls in there it starts to act as a filter and if you smoke at the level I do the pipe gets completely filled with a gooey hash-like substance which is just as strong as any hash I've had.

Trust me, I just broke my pipe
(This time though, I waited 8 months - and it was worth it!)

formula 420 = waste of $$$$ yea it works, but so does everything else that was mentioned. I use a piece of tupperware not much bigger than the piece. Fill with warm high% iso and salt if ya want. I also give mine one last rinse w/ DI h2o then warm in toaster over to strip any iso left. CHEAP and EASY!!
