Butane Hash 101

Ok. So alot of you guys ahve seemed interested in chat sessions, so heres my butane method. I dont really do this anymore becasue i like water hash so much more, BUT this method is very cheap, fast and idiot proof. (please dont prove me wrong anyone...) You only need a few supplies to do this, and here they are.
1) High quality butane

I use 5x filtered vector butane. costs me about $5 a can, you can get them at your local headshop.

2) PVT (sp?) pipe plus two end caps

I use a 3' length because i use a lot of trimmings. I got it for like 3 bucks at home depot, the endcaps cost like 1 dollar more.

3) coffee filter

4) duct tape

5) funnel

6) coffee mug or pyrex measuring cup

Ok. So get all your supplies ready. On one of your end caps, u wanna cut lil holes using a fine drill, i think i used 1/16". Cut them in a salt shaker pattern, like 5-6 in a center circle and 8-10 in an outer circle. Cut a coffee filter so it fits in the end cap, and then attach the pipe to your end cap, FACE DOWN!! You want the filter to stay put...
Now, duct tape or any kind of tape the end cap on. Fill up your tube with all of your trimmings, full but not smashed down. I usually grind up my trimmings in a blender just before i do this so i have the most surface area possible.
The other end cap neds to have a single hole drilled in it the size of your butane nozzle. The butane i get comes with a bunch of different attachments for the nozzle so i pick one that is skinny with a fat base for minimal waste.
Attach the end cap and tape it on. You should have something that looks like a very big pipe bomb.

Ok. This is easiest with a freind. GOTO SOMEHWERE WITH NO SPARKS OR FLAME OR ANYTHING FLAMMABLE! THIS IS DANGEROUS!
I go out into the middle of the woods usually, i leave my cellphone and my lighter. NO SMOKING DAMNIT!

OK. Soo now that there are no potential sources to ignite all the butane vapor, hold the pipe salt shaker side down over your mug, pyrex glass. Shake the shit out of the butane, and shoot ti through the tube, should ake 15 seconds or so. THEN quickly shoot another can through. Yoiu dont have to, but its only 5 bucks and you get more. By the time you start shooting your second can, you will notice green/yellow/gold liquid running out of you tube. It will run out for a few minutes, when it starts to trickle, take a dep breath and blow through the tube through the top, do this till no more droplets come out.

Ok. You dotn have to do this, but i do. To make the butane boil off more quickly, put your cup in a bowl of warm-hot water. NOT almost boiling as your cup may explode, but hot. Your butane will boil off very fast, maybe 5-10 minutes with hot water. From here you can do a few things, you can dip nugs in the still gooey butane hash before it hardens, you can try and scrape it all up and put it in something else, you cna leave it in the cup, or do what i do. I dissolve the stuff in 99.99% isopropyl, just a SPLASH like 1/5 of a shot glass and swirl it till it dissolves again, and put it in a vial. let the alcohol evaporate and smoke on.

I've used a similar tek with a name brand tube. I think you'll want to use stainless steel or a chemicaly resistant resin/plastic. As the PVC will leach chemicals into your oil.

not pvc, but i forget what the initals are for the pipe. i think its PVT but im not sure.

I use a stainless steel baster.
I modified the tip so it depresses the butane nozzle.
Put the tip on, fill with herb, push a few screens past the neck.
I then clamp it inverted over a glass bowl for the wash. Then it is placed it in front of a fan that is already running.
