I am kicking around an filter design idea. I need a filter too.

I like the idea of a tub with a screen bottom built around 2" off the inside bottom. A 4" ventilation pipe enters straight down from the top of the tub and seals to the screen. Lay some polyfil sheet over the screen and around the tube, then fill the tub with charcoal.

Smelly air blown into the pipe will spread out under the screen, then it has no choice but to percolate up through the charcoal bed. Sounds simple, but I will have to make one to see if the idea is worth server space on Mycotopia.

<added> What you are building looks like a nice design, not too much stuff to cut up.

Yeah, I have a 4 week old. She is starting to perfume the area.

I have a ionizer space filter I need to fire up. It was tripping on a GF protected circuit and turning off the grow chambers. I am going to try running the filter on a different circuit and hope the GF doesn't be a bitch. Easy enough to do but I hate to jerk the plants around. Damn you UL.

how much did it cost you total? looks cheaper than the home depot design most people make for what, 70 bucks. and those go for 120 on ebay.

If the designer only used one of those suckers to keep that packed room smell free then it must be doin its job.
