    Curing Buds

SWIM has a few plants that are going to be harvested in the not so distant. SWIM was wondering what people's thoughts are on curing buds other than just letting them dry. SWIM has read that it vastly increases potency, and wanted to know if it is worth the wait.

SWIM is also wondering what method is best for curing buds. This is SWIM's first grow so he is pretty excited. There are only two plants but they are looking pretty nice. They are about 3 weeks into flowering and the buds are starting to get pretty big.

    ~Peace Out

i hang em for a week or so tell there about dry. stem bends slightly b4 it snaps. than i fill quart canning jars up 2/3 full and screw the lid on and stick in the dark for 2 months exchanging the air every 24/hrs and tossing the buds up again. cured buds smoke and smell and taste better thna uncured. uncured is a harsh smoke. from what ive read cured buds are 30% stronger but not sure if thats true or not. 3 weeks into flower u got 5-9 weeks left depends on the strain.

its really personal prefrence. the longer the cure the smoother the smoke from my findings. most weed u get in holland like white russand and gdp n the elite strains have up to a 2 year cure depending on the grower. i was shocked when we smoked 2 year old white russian. big hits and i didnt cough at all. was so damn smooth. not sure if im patient for 2 years though. 2 months is usualy average for me and my friends.

My next grow will be a purple Indica strain and hopefully i will get some purple buddin action
My brother used to get purple budds from a peanut farmer that had a farm in north Texas, He grew the sickest Indica that you could ever hope to ever come across
Fuck i got sick trying to smoke a pinner of that shit by myself

My brother helped him out one night when his woman had shot him with a .22 pistol and thats how they got tight with each other
It was the second time she had shot him according to my brother
This dude had big purple Indica buds dated back for 10 years stocked in his freezer
He looked like Icabod Crane when i met him

cold nights late in flower help to bring out the purple pigments in the weed. my foaf for his gdp vents cold air in at night so its in around 45-55. he gets some wicked purple shit.

    Red face

I live in a tropical rainforest so venting cold air in isnt a option for me
A bag of ice might do the trick
