This Widow is a Showgirl!  I have a few doubles from the other seeds. Some delayed to germ so I added more seed. Trying to fill all the cups. Fruit cuttings in the background. I think I created a humidity dome like by throwing the plastic bottles into a pile. I was just being lazy, now I'm running with the idea of the extra moisture.  I mist every time I go in there. |

Thanks shroom_seeker! I appreciate the visit.  If this Widow is female these young shoots will become my outdoor plants for the summer.  I need to re-pot the plants in cups but I have been lazy. Maybe I will do it this weekend. There are too many plants for a 400W light (go figure, this started with one seed) so I was thinking about sexing in the cups but now I'm thinking of putting them in bigger pots before flower.  |

What up homey! I just mean if there is a fire for what ever reason.... that is bad.... All that Paint and plastic is an accelerant... I am prolly just paranoid... Nice lookin Ladies!! AS ALWAYS!!  I love the Pringles cans as pots!!... I bet one could do a hellacious SOG with those!!

Priz,  I thought I was ok, but since you were concerned about safety, I removed. I have the light on an angle so it was about 2ft from the cans. I think even if the chained light fell and flamed, it wouldn't reach the cans. Also, the room has concrete floor and walls. But anyhow, that stuff was much overdo of coming out. So thanks for motivating my lazy ass! And thanks for the offer, I'm def gonna hit you back on that! --------------------------------- While the 1st day of Spring yesterday brought us snow showers, the indoor garden is approaching flowers. |

Been a long time since i been by. High.  Very resourceful with the orange juice and pringles container for pots.  Lovin it man. Just got snowed on last night again, however gettin some seeds in the mail here shortly. Summer's just around the corner. I'd say your widow is a female.....

Thanks for stopping by. High! I like using what I have on hand. Did another transplant this morning after breakfast (oj). I still have 2 plants in cups... I need to sex to rid the males to free up some room. I'm licking my chops at my first attempt at cloning. The White Widow is looking very shootful! Time to get me a razor... |

Thanks grimes! i.p.freely, Gracias! Check out the difference in color spectrum between the lights! I flipped it to 12/12 a few days ago. I need to take some cuttings, but I have been lazy to get the Widow out from the back. One of these days... |

Why THANK YOU! Her mom was a sexy one. I like to keep her neat and groomed. I just trimmed her to start the cloning process. I removed the male appearing plants out of the room. I need to order a few more egg drop and wonton soups!  Munchies!!! |

Hot Damn Black! Have you tried to pollinate and produce seeds? I had a boy in my last bunch of rhino and got some pollen in a tin... thinking I may brush a little on one of the girls little pistil thingys. Nice thread! Inspiring to say the least...

Said it before and I'll say it again. Widow is one of my favorites to grow and smoke. Cloning is very easy and should always be done if you have a good mom with good genetics. You should never be intimidated at all by the process. I personally like to use olivias cloning gel and I use a dropper and fill a Rockwool starter cubes hole. Then I cut the clones at a 45 degree angle right below 1 or 2 sets of leaves. I cut the side leaves off and then if I'm doing a bunch of them, quickly put in a cup of water so no embolisms start. Then I push it into the cube until it hits the bottom of the hole and push slightly more. I have had 95% + success rates over the years with cloning. Humidity is very important. Good luck.

Thanks for all the support fellaz!  I started this grow with 1 White Widow seed and now I have 9 girls under a 400w. I put some cuttings in soil and some in ziploc bags. I took the ladies out for a shower and some fresh air. I've been giving them a little fish and salt to green them up! White Widow and Co. |

Grew and lived in Denver for many many years. The cold outside helped a lot with electric bills. I could tan for free too in the winter. The heat..... Many problems arise. They are fixable, but they can be costly and they can be a flag on the electric bill if you're not careful. When We were growing a ton in Texas, we lived in one place while growing in another. First thing was first, disconnect the fridge. Then we disconnected the water heater, etc. We basically got rid of everything. We didn't even have a clock in the place. Our electric was just about the same as if we lived there. That is the most important thing. We never used the washer/dryer, the dishwasher. Make sure you don't have huge jumps in your bill. Try and use the fluorescents for the cloning/rooting stage then add the MD and try and flower as soon as you can so that it's only 12 hours of HPS. Cooler climates help a lot, as far as electricity, but it can always be done if there is a will. I always try and keep my ballasts outside of the room if possible to keep the temp down.
