    good idea or bad idea?

ive made an outdoor bed that is 8x8. the soil is mostly sandy so i have dug holes to accomodate my main attractions. i will be throwing some random plants from home deot in or around them. but i have a couple q's first.

    1. will to hurt for one of my plants and one from the store to be planted side by side in one hole . the holes are about one foot wide and they get a little wider as they go down and about 2.5' deep.

    2. i was also thinking about building a pvc cold frame green house around my garden. it would be relatively cheap to do and it would be something to keep me busy. if not i will simply put posts up around the outside about 4' high and drape an opaque plastic over the garden. i think that would be a lot easier and simpler and just as effective. let me know what you guys think. heres a pic of the spot. most of the plants have been knocked over by the damn dog lol. thats another plus about the greenhouse. it will keep the dog out

another problem i am realizing right now is that it will have to withstand some decent winds at times. its not usually too windy but right now it is. fuck, its getting real windy outside as im typing this haha. this greenhouse will need to be pretty sturdy lol

I would hope that if you made a pvc box and glued it up right and staked it down well it should withstand most wind storms. More depends on how you attach your screen material to see if I will withstand the elements.

the pvc idea sucked. in 10 foot lengths it got wobbly so i tore it down and made them into scrog trellises which worked out beautifully. i think im just gonna leave it uncovered. the wind should die down around spring anyways.

Yeah, for a 10' run you would need more uprights and at least 1 1/2 pipe
