Those are "NeoDymium" Magnets, that stuff is crazy, It makes the hottest guitar pickups in the world. There is other places to get those, look on Edmund Scientific, they carry them, and I love their catolog, every Myco-head should have at least 1 of their catologs.

they don't sell those at radio shack. I have bought them on line and I have several sizes and strengths. The n50 are the most powerful you can currently buy. Yes they will pinch your fingers, and it hurts. They will stick to each side of your hand. I have been experimenting with them for years. I am/was convinced that would increase the strength of pot. I have tried putting several of them around a metal container that held my bag. I have tried putting them around the plant as it grows. I have tried putting them around plants as they dried. I have yet to prove my theory with measurable results, but I will keep trying. I also use them on my bike when I ride to hold things to the bike. They hold my stash bag, my toolbox (small), and so many other things it incredible. Strong magnets are fun! ![]() this is where I have gotten mine the last few times. http://www.kjmagnetics.com/

If you look around, you can find them with hooks already mounted to them. I bought 4 awhile back that are 1.25" across mounted hooks. Impossible to pull straight off a piece of iron. I was going to use them for fishing magnets.

lucy, there are some interesting documentaries on those crystal skulls. they are real, but i forget there actual uses. some woman owns one of them and i guess her father spent most his life with some mexican tribe before he discovered them. He was told what they were used for, i just can't remember, but the fact that they are so old and so perfectly carved adds tons of mysticism to them and people come up with some crazy stories. really cool tho, you should look into them a bit deeper |

get some real magnets with a strength of n42 or n50. There is no comparison with the junk radio shack sells.

![]() | Neodymium Magnets are inherently dangerous. Toddlers have died after they swallowed a couple of tiny ones which pinched off their intestines. One young lad had to have his hand amputated after getting crushed between a couple of 3" dia by 1" thick disks. In my opinion though, I believe the effort of removing the magnets probably caused much more damage than the initial crushing. While dangerous however they shouldn't be feared. Respected, yes but not feared. now that sounds scarry

yeah me to. ive actually put them a few places on my body to see if they would hold thru the skin, and they have. lol as long as you have enough 'body' between the two, they wont clash together so hard. i hear they can improve circulation thru your veins as well. Ima make me onea them lil devices pretty soon jus for fun. and yep, those crystal skulls are very very cool. there area few 'fake' ones, that dont belong with the original 13, but, did you see the ones with moveable mandibles? cut with precision that no one can do even today!! Against!! the grain!!

![]() ![]() ![]() | www.digikey.com sells neodymium magnets(NdFeB) in various sizes. Type "neodymium" in the search box and you will get to the right page. The 0.25" diameter magnets are really nice and can be used for all sorts of stick-it-together projects.

I have some neo's at work, 1/4"dia by 1/16" thick. A magnet held above another magnet laying on a table will pick it up from around 1-1/2" away. It is pretty amazing. They magnetize steel tools, which can be annoying. They must pull together at that last little bit of gap with close to a pound of force. They are almost too strong to be real.

u yeah! I like playing with such stuff...since i was a kid. i used to disintegrate every electrical gift i got if i got left alone for too long...trains, cars, robots, get it on! ![]() rare-earth refers to neodymium and samarium-cobalt... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rare_earth_element shromette is right! watch your computer, but mostly the monitor, if you still got an CRT...I fucked the colors up once pretty good. It leaves a special "imprint" on the picture...it can be reversed...by flipping the magnet (but you gotta know where the N and the S point) and moving it in vicinity of the monitor accordingly, but it's a hassle and you might just fuck it up even more. so, 30cm is the nearest you wanna come... don't know about lcd's though... watch your credit cards also and not to forget your irreplacable backup 3.5" floppy disks!: ) "cause you could really destro your self with these " lucysd ![]() ![]() i don't know what body piercings are made off...but ...emmm.. watch it

hard drive magnets are very good and strong. The newer the hard drive the smaller and stronger the magnet. They are not round but shaped to maximize the pull to a certain point.
