i realize this is preaching to the choir but... this should really be a non-issue. there isn't one sensible reason hemp should be illegal. economic strife or not, hemp is just intelligent. unfortunately, it was free us just a little too much for our own good... http://www.alternet.org/environment/...ution_we_need/

Just remember Hemp and Cannabis are the same plant. Selective breeding is all that sets them apart. Some call it Marijuana , others Hemp ... but its all Cannabis. Food , Fiber , Fuel & Medicine. Fight for Cannabis in all its glory.

I think the biggest hurdle in legalization is the fact that more government leaders would have to admit that mj is not bad. They would have to admit that the gov has been spreading mis-information all this time. Then, they would have to explain all the money they have spent over the years fighting something that was really OK. They just don't want to say, "we were wrong". They have taken this drug war to far, and destroyed to many lives to admit they were wrong. Hopefully, someday soon, we will have leaders with enough balls to do the right thing.
