100 watt hps and metal work light

A friend of mine is planning to start a grow and i was wonder if a 100 watt hps medium base put into a metal work light will work and flower his plants.

No it won't work. An hps bulb can only run on a ballasted fixture.

Exactly, good info there chlorello. And to add a bit more to that, An hps bulb can only be run in a HPS ballasted fixture. Meaning it will have a txformer, capacitor and an ignitor. It must also be rated for the specific bulb. Such as 100w ballast for a 100w bulb.

Using anything else is not safe.

100 watts is not enough.
shiit 250w is not enough.

i would suggest savin ya pennies
and buy a 400watter

You wont find anyplace in the us to buy seeds. May be some sites where they trade beans, but mostly invite only type thing.
Definitely not here!

Might be a few left in Canada, for sure some in holland.

Several good threads here about legit seed sellers. Do a little searching, You'll find a place.
