Def more blue-much more intense-2 bands of blue-you see it penetrating through th e canopy!I wanna stare at the thing with a bowl and chill, but it actually gives you a weird headache.Looking over the top of the canopy, I can see light reaching brightly all the way down the length of the plants-I've been waiting months for this, and the wait has paid off.The light given off looks nothing like the 2 90w tri-bands, so much more-saturated it seems.So thats 2 bands of blue-2 bands of red/re-orange, and a band of infrared.

So is the hype about LED's how much electricity they use? Those plants look beautiful, healthy, and great, but for the price of LEDs, and versus a conventional HID light that costs a good bit more to run but cheaper for how much wattage, the yield will be much greater, it seems. It may pay off for smaller grows over time, but in a large garden it's probably impractical, correct?

Thank you very much! Per plant it depends-43 grams was my topper, but it was nightshade, and she'll practically grow anywhere, under any conditions.I'm really expecting a better than decent harvest with this unit- the plants are somewhat small-only vegged for 20 days- but I've got my fingers crossed.I've been fartin around so much with different methods-hydro,hydro organic, soil-less,soil, it's been extremely varied.I'm going to stay consistant with the soil, so we should be getting some more consistant results.

Definitely- I wouldnt even consider trying a large commercial, lol I dont have that kind of cash.But IMHO HID is still the way to go for the larger grows-if not only for cost reasons, forget performance.In the commercial world straight economics rules-and I dont think leds fit that equation yet.And thank you, but remember my plants are small-32"-the biggest heavily flowering plant, and 15"-the smallest.So I dont even have a frame of reference as to how these lights would perform in a big set-up.Grow methods,I believe, would be limited(not appealing to many right off the bat) to sea of green, and, well...sea of green.These new units are punching pretty decent through a 2-3 foot canopy, but how the new tek would fare in a macro environment? I know I wouldnt want to be the brave soul willing to shuck out the THOUSANDS of dollars needed to just get started on such uncharted waters.

You have better results with soil over hydro? I would think to maximize your small grow, hydro would give a better yield overall.

It's really because I'm new to hydro and suck at it.I'm going to try organic hydro again-it didnt turn out bad-I just wasnt impressed with it( totally due to my inexperience) someone suggested aeroponics, and after some reading it sounds like a solid plan.Now I just need to get my feet wet with one-seems pretty easy to set up and maintain.I'm going to be testing a 63 watt led light (supposed to be 150w hps equivalent) I think I'll set up a small manageable dwc system- just to see how she goes.

Thank you kindly.The multi plant in one container set-up was just a combo of having extra clones, extra soil, an extra ufo, and an un-used tent-well, and boredom lol.I'm pretty damn curious myself to see how it turns out- stay tuned my friend

just regular ffof-with a 3rd perlite added+ dolomite lime for ph stability, calcium, and magnesium.I thoroughly mix this up in bulk.I found perlite a very helpful addition to ffof- which tends to be a little dense.

my hps fluoro grow-2x2 homebox, 1 1/2 gal containers of ffof, 150w hps/52w 6500k cfl(for the blue)/48 watts of 3000k T-5.The strain is big bang(also in the 180w led tent).This is to show everyone the physical differences between hps/fluoro-and led bud.
