GREEN DRAGON questions!!!

Hey Myco-peoples,

I just grew a little bit of green & stripped the plants yesterday.

I separated the bud from leaf & decided to make green dragon with the leaf / stem ect.

HI think I got a little too excited & hasty though. here's a run through of how I went about makin it.

1. Grabbed all the WET leaf
2. Bought a bottle of 90% (180 proof) Polish Vodka.
(I can't get Everclear here)
3. Crammed it all into a 2 liter bottle.

I'm not sure if I was meant to dry it all 1st or not. Does using DRY/WET leaf make any difference in potency in the end???

How long should I keep it stored & should it be in a DARK / LIGHT / WARM place??

What dosage is kinda a standard???

Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

not sure on your potency question ass ive never made cano liquor before but should think not based on my past experiences with smoking baking and cooking it. drying is mostly done to make it easier to work with.

but i aint no weed myster so ill let some one elts verify that for you. just wondering if precured that polish vodka in the uk. been searching high ansd low for everclear and found nothing.

Don't you have to apply heat to the canna, because in its regular state it's only thc-a and the heat converts it to thc?

yeah.... you should have dried those leaves.
Like boss said, you are going to need to warm
your GD up to convert thc-a into active thc, as well
as reduce it down.

You might have a chlorophyl heavy tincture
that tastes...well, bad.

Well then. I just read that whole thread. Looks like my hastiness has just cost me a heap o' leaf & $60 for the liquor.. I'll definitely be researchin' before plunging in from now on.

Fuck it, I'm gonna go ahead with it though. I'm gonna let it sit for a week, then try the extraction.

Best I'm hopin 4 is @ least 1 high from it. Might as well try.
I'll let it sit 4 a week then give it a go.

I'm not gonna expect much but I'll post a report & pics of the end result anyway.

If anything, at least in the end I'll be able to show people the exact way NOT 2 make Green Dragon!!!

i'd let it sit for a bit and try to reduce it down in a hot water bath . if you apply some heat to it you'll probly get a viable product ,it may just taste like sht. at least it can't hurt, better then just trashing it . i would at least try, you only need to hit a certain temp to activate the goodies, sry not sure on activation temps ...

In my research I have found that with dry herb 275 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes does the trick for thc conversion.

... if you are working with fresh plants ... For best results, convert the non acid forms of THC and CBD by heating for 10 min at 120 deg F or 5 min at 200 deg F in an oven.

So it would seem that you would be best advised to heat the mixture with the plant material still in it before decanting.

Good evening Lookin2Grow, rather than knock any previous answers, or hurt anyone's feelings, may I suggest going back to the top of this thread where you first posted,.....now do you see your question? The print is in green and when you get to the word "Green Dragon" it turns to gold. Move your cursor over that golden word and click. Talks about dragon from start to finish. It will be easy to find, look under the post date if you don't want to read everbody else's posts. I think your product will probably taste like grass out of the yard very strongly. Drying is pretty important for tast of your extraction.

I use two fiftsh or a fifth and two pints of 100 proof vodka. I am looking for vodka with all the magical and potent properties of a good extract with the flavor of good sensi buds, not chlorophyll.

I use two ounces of crystally dried trim, only the good stuff, no junk. I swish it around in a big glass baking pan, and start immediately to remove the leafy material. I do this by grabbing it by the handfull and squeezing hard to remove the vodka. I hastily remove all I can by hand, and then filter the rest thru a coffee filter and back into a coffee pot and then pour back into the bottles and cap it up. Each shot is very potent and tastes like whatever brand of trim you make it out of.

There is no reason to heat it nor to leave it soak. Both actually take away from the experience as they dissolve more plant materials and plant fats into the solution. If you use fresh wet leaves, the fats and chlorophyll dissolves much faster into the solution, so you will get a much greener tasting product. The essential oils turpenoids and limonenes that give maiijuanza its flavor and smell dissolve into solution almost instantly in 100 proof or more liquor.

I shoot for gettin all the green back out of the solution in about 5 minutes or so tops.
