![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What's wrong with my plant? Advice Needed!
Hey I have a couple outdoor plants growing... a Haze/Skunk/Haze cross, and it was doing fine until just recently. Does anyone know what kind of dificiency the leaves have? Or is it slight fertalizer burn? It's planted in regular potting soil and has been lightly fertilized with miracle grow. Also I added blood and bone meal, but I was under the impression that those couldn't burn the plant...Any advice would be much appreciate ![]() And here's a pic of my monkshood as well as I think they're beautiful....and man are they ever poisonous

Hmmm, They look plenty green and healthy cept the slight burn at the egdes. I'd have to say nute burn. Not sure however. Also you are lacking a vital ingredient using Miracle grow. Magnesium. Very important and fme the second most commonly overlooked and lacking nute next to N. Reduce your MG solution strength, and add a bit of epsom salts. Maybe a tsp/gallon or so. Doesnt look too bad yet man, Id not worry unless it continues and worsens. Good luck Foster |

Thanks for the tip ^^^ I actually always mix a bit of epsom salt in with the fertalizer as I know about the mkagnesium problem... The tips turned brown after I added bloodmeal to the pot... can that burn the tips? I usually only fertalize small amounts at a time but more often. I use an attachment that hooks on the end of the hose and supposedly mixes the water and nutrients at an appropriate mix.... I wonder if it's malfunctioning... it's always worked fine before now but perhaps I should replace it. Anyhow, thanks for the response.

Looks like slight nute burn to me too. I wouldn't worry too much unless it gets worse though. Prolly just ever so slightly over did it is all. If it does worsen just water the shit outta em

If the Miracle Grow you're using is a chem fert, you can flush it whenever it gets dry again. That usually works really well with chem fert burns, but not so much with organics because the food is the medium.

Hi D, Nutrient burn is the only thing that comes to mind that starts on the edges like that. And on the mg (epsom salt) addition. I usually agree with you Foster...but a tsp or so per gallon is a little much. It's important to supplement, but for prevention and maintenance 1/4 tsp is enough and 1 tsp /gal is maximum dosage that should only be used with a true deficiency. I see no hint of mg def at this point. (just my opinion) Dee

Ditch that Miracle Grow crap! The blood and bone meals I'd stick with but you shouldn't have to use any more. Pick up some sort of Seaweed extract, great stuff IMO. Fish emulsion is also one of my fav's! As for the burn...doesn't look to bad... just flush with clean water to get rid of any accumulated salts. I second the magnesium suggestion. Helps enhance flavors (so I've heard) Good luck, I look forward to some cola pictures |

Thanks for responses all... I only use miracle grow while the plant is in veg, and switch to all organic (except epsome salt) as soon as buds start to develop. I've been growing pot for 14 years now and usually have very good success, so when a little thing browning of the leaf tips happen it really bothers me lol. Anyways, I found out what actually happened... Unbeknownst to me, my mother's husband was fertilizing it every time he watered the flower garden, as he uses a similar foliar feeding attachment on the garden hose, and figured he might as well included my plant. So it was getting double fertilizer for the last month, ever since I brought it over to my mom's house to put in her back yard. I knew I hadn't done anything to have caused this lol... I was completely baffled as I hate over fertilizing with chemicals... the nodes have just started alternating so I'm taking it off the chems now anyway and switching to organic nutrients. Thanks again for the help all

I am a MG hater... I know some peeps back the stuff. But it is sketchy... I would invest in organically derived, high quality nutes.
