I ve got the mother under 1 wk of Flower. and her clone is 3 wks under they are from an unknown source. Produces lots of pistils and rapidly starts to dense. Purple on the stem and very tiny trichomes starting to become more and more visible with the naked eye. How long should I leave flow. till harv?

thats pretty good density for 3 weeks.

Get an illuminated microscope ($12 at radio shack around here), pull it when the trichomes become cloudy or amber, depending on your preference. If you don't want to get the microscope, pull it when the hairs all turn dark and the plant gets fall colors.

the second pic of the nug looks to be at least a month away before you want to think about harvest. maybe week or two more.

UNknown Strain turned out to be desent smoke.

Ive been stressing by giving 36 hrs dark.

I have also heard of making a hole thru the trunk a week prior to harvest?

Would that raise the resin production at all

no, spiking the stalk wont do anything for it.
i used to do it a long time ago when i first read it..
but it does nothing noticeable. lol
