Marc Emery is a Douche! He was an important part of a documentary on a major network channel and had the chance to make a professional impression on the idiot sheep we refer to as the masses. What does he do? Makes a complete ass of himself and is ripped ,high as a kite... Just helped portray the movement and smokers as the stereo typical types that Marc pplayed out! No respect for the douche nor sympathy ,,,he's in it for the $$$ Mr Prince of Pot ,,,,yeah right! If this movement is to ever be taken seriously ,then they'd better stop the BS ,,,and get real fugure heads in the front.. Marc Emery does nothing but set it back decades...he's in it for himself!! |

^^He has done more than you ever will. You say he is in it for the money, well I guess that explains why he gave millions away to pro-legalization groups all over North America.... Name other person as active as him in the scene. I hear this bullshit from activists all the time, Marc Emery this, Marc Emery that. All coming from people that have done jack shit to the movement. When push comes to shove, whatever you THINK his intent is, he has rallied countless people together, and has brought the issues of prohibition into the public eye. So please, what have you contributed to the prohibition movement? Or are you just some random noob running his mouth?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think so. Basing an impression on one, probably highly edited to make him look bad, TV special is bad policy no matter who you are intending to judge. All I have to say is Pinche "cabron"

Marc Emery is not very likable but has done good works on Cannabis law reform. I'll go on record saying he's done good things for the Cannabis movement. I fully understand why people have issues with him. He's arrogant and sold pot seeds for big dollars , wears a suit ... basically a jerk. Here's some other things he's done: - Ran a book store where he fought the censorship laws for years including laws that made hightimes magazine or any drug literature illegal. The laws were changed. - Fought the music censorship laws by selling illegal cassette tapes like 2LIVEcrew in his bookstore. Was arrested. Law fell eventually. - Opened BC's first hemp store , activist centre , started Marijuana Party political lobby group. - Hemp BC's wholesale wing helped start dozens of Hemp stores across North America. They were a one stop shop for these upstart hemp stores. Papers , bongs , literature , hemp clothing , the whole works. They also gave good 60 day terms which helped many a hemp store get a head start. Also many cool people have been employed at the store/warehouse/cafe over the years. - Hemp BC and Marc Emery started a legal center where they provided lawyers for hemp stores that were busted. I know for a fact that this is true and that he did indeed send lawyers and money to help activist stores that were in legal trouble. In fact this is what the DEA head said "taking out Marc Emery strikes a blow to the legalization movement of BC" - Marc started a seed company that helped spread many Cannabis genetics around the world. True these seeds were expensive , but so were the seeds of his competitors. One thing Marc did was offer Cannabis seeds cheaply to medical patients. Many legal users in Canada got their start with discounted medical seeds from Emery. He even offered Health Canada seeds to grow for their Medical Marijuana program but they refused and said legally they had to use bunk seeds confiscated from the RCMP off the streets. - Marc started Cannabis Culture magazine in the mid 90's. This magazine employs many very cool people. Writers , photographers , people like Ed Rosenthal ... lots of very cool folks. The magazine has printed many quality articles in the last decade. - Started pot-tv , free web-based Cannabis information site. Innovative for its time. Being free it didn't bring in much revenue , but he's kept it up to this day , also employing very cool people. Anyhow i'm most definitely not trying to be a fan here ... just stating what I know to be true. Marc is one guy , but he's also part of a large team of people dedicated to Cannabis law reform and the repeal of prohibition. When judging Marc his whole input should be looked at , not just the seeds sales or media interviews. Lots happens behind the scenes.

Great list Hyph. Marc Emery is one of many that are on the forefront of the fight to legalize the "evil" weed. People like Eddy Lepp who is serving time for helping people get their medicine is one. Rick Simpson for educating the people around the world about the healing benefits of cannabis is another. I respect these people for helping us live better lives. Some may be in it for the money but most are compassionate individuals. I can only dream of doing half of what these people are willing to go through to fight for the cause. But it would be nice to make that kind of cash selling the seeds of the worlds most favorite plant.
